The full rmh book is still a good year away. Maybe less. Maybe more. But this kickstarter will offer about 30 pages from that book - just on riser stuff.

You might consider a line at the top that's more conversational: "What if you could build the world's most efficient wood-burning heater with TK$ worth of stuff you can buy at any hardware store?"
"It's called a rocket mass heater, and it can keep your home toasty all winter with the kind of scraps you'd use for kindling."

I like "earth friendly"
We need to make sure we mention "movie" in the title.

I replied to a day old post at the bottom of the previous page so now this seems out of place...

Can we try this image with the text "free, earth friendly heat"
??
This one is missing the previous kickstarter image (I made a one cartoony but it looked off so I’m doing a 3d shelf with books and dvds mock-ups that will look real nice. In you r first live shot you can see the text integration with the shots. I’m adding more for the rest of the shots as they take a bit to track.

I want you to get to the energy the BWB kickstarter had. Maybe the SKIP kickstarter had similar energy as the stretch goals kept falling but I couldn't tell from the inside.
I guess I'd lean towards 14 days. Making that clear to the viewers might further speed up their pledging.
Banging through the stretch goals every 5k was great and having them start early also helped get the rewards piling on sooner.
Emphasizing that the rewards are all new items would also help. In the past I think I assumed that I already had lots of the things when I probably didn't.

I think the upside of saying "yard waste" is exactly your concern: "eeeewwwww ... waste?!?!" So people are thinking "yuck", but we are gonna heat the home with something they already have and wanna get rid of.
"Cardboard" is a reflection of our modern stuff about packages from amazon and the like.

This research investigates the role of emotion and message framing in stemming plastic consumption.
Across three experimental studies examining consumer intentions, participation, and product choice, this
research demonstrates that an image depicting plastic waste (vs. victims of plastic waste) elicits disgust
(vs. sadness). Building on construal level theory, we show that an image of plastic waste is more effective
in encouraging consumers to reduce their plastic consumption when combined with a “why” message
(e.g., reasons to reduce plastic consumption). In contrast, an image portraying victims of plastic waste
is more effective when presented with a “how” message (e.g., steps to reduce plastic consumption). The
findings of this research highlight the importance of understanding discrete emotional responses to advertising images, especially in the context of reducing plastic consumption, and thus will benefit social
marketers and policy makers
