Richard, I have over 200' of road way that looks down into my yard. Seeing how neat and orderly your fence looks has encouraged me to build my junkpole fence right there for all the neighborhood to see or not see through. Thanks for your attention to detail.

Question: Does this BB really belong in Woodland Care? Fencing seems an odd skill to have here. I’m not sure where it would better fit though.

Yes, it does belong here, at least for PEP.  Paul views the removal and use of the junk poles as a forestry practice and a homesteading practice (if I can pretend to speak for him). He and Shawn had to shuffle BBs between a few badges at times to keep them somewhat balanced.  So for a few reasons like that, it's in this badge.  There are other fencing BBs in homesteading as well but they're not for junk pole styles.

I see. And there is mention of removing fuel load to mitigate fire risk, which makes sense for Paul’s woods.

Inspired by a variety of historic fencing methods, I built a fence around our garden area. No fasteners, mortise and tenon joints between the rails and the main vertical supports, with the filler verticals woven through.

Staff note (Mike Haasl) :

One requirement is "Deer and chicken proof".  Looks like you have one chicken sized gap in there but I'll approve it anyway.  Nice fence!

I fixed gaps in probably 200 feet of junkpole fence today at Allerton Abbey. The individual gaps I filled probably amounted to 30+ feet. Wanted to eliminate any debate for certification. The pictures that follow show each section in need of repair, followed by its corresponded repaired section.

I built a Junkpole fence today. It was about 11ft long in the space between the rock jacks.

I built an 11ft section of junkpole fence -  according to the description, if it's a section, it needs to be a minimum of 10ft.

This BB has been split into two!

This one will be for building a 12' section of junkpole fence and there is now a new BB for Repair a 24' section of junkpole fence.

Past submissions in this thread for 24' repairs don't need to be moved to the new thread or duplicated.
