Collect a Dozen Eggs - PEP BB animal.sand.collecteggs

I finally caught a hen in the box, hopefully this is a good enough picture of her. I have two hens left one silky and one either Rhode Island or New Hampshire (pictured) plus one Khaki Campbell duck. The dozen is mixed eggs of all three.

I hatched out some eggs last summer. Here are my 2 sweet pullets Mustafa (on left, aka Queen Bee) and Cupcake (on right, aka Dora the Explorer.) We live in a van and my bed is on top of their coop. They’ve laid 16 eggs so far but 3 broke and I ate 3. Do I need to post a follow-up when I fill up the carton?

We started keeping poultry this past September and went with Rhode Island Reds and 2 ducks, Magpie and Welsh Harlequin. The ducks actually started laying first, right before Christmas and have laid an egg a day thus far. The hens started trickling in January so right now we have 5/6 laying so we get at least 5 eggs a day! We’re drastically ramping up our chicken count to have enough for us(we go through about a dozen a day) and to sell to our community. We have 34 chicks, 12 ducks and we’re hatching(for the first time) another 22 eggs all by the end of this month. Oh boy!🙈

We currently have 6 Rhode Island Red Hens (plus a Swedish Flower Rooster) and two ducks.

It really started as being my wife’s birds, and I build all the coops/fences and whatnot, but we’ve both gotten pretty serious about our eggs lately as our family would easily go through a dozen eggs a day if we had them… and soon we will— we have more than 50 chicks in brooder boxes, in the house at the moment and are about to get another 15 ducks.

This is my first BB, so I thought I'd start with an easy one -- something I am already doing!

We keep 8 suburban chickens.  Our current flock is coming up on their second laying season and they are all back to laying after the winter rest.  The mixed flock consists of Welsummers, Wyandottes, an olive egger, a Starlite, and a Prairie Bluebell.

I thought the hardest part of this BB was getting a picture of a chicken in the nest!  I caught one of the Welsummers (Agnes) in the nest, but she immediately jumped up and moved to the other box to see if that was more private -- that's the picture of her with the eggs and the golf balls.  See how she is glaring at me?

Our flock lays blue, near blue, green, pinkish, and brown eggs.

We have 2 hens . 1 is a tiny silky named twixy and she is quite broody as you can see as she is in the box and 1 Rhode Island or New Hampshire unsure which one we killed and which one we let live.  Also mixed in the egg collection are eggs from our Khaki campbell duck.  

I have ten hens, fifteen ducks and 3 geese.

I feed them organic wheat, black oil sunflower seeds and kitchen/garden scraps.  I try to do the paddock shift but they often get out so they are a bit of free range too.
