Oh, the view from a treehouse in the right spot... but living in Maine, with Maine winters, I'm going with the wofati. Much easier to heat.

I live in tornado country.  Living in a tree could be splendidly exciting.  I will take the lower home.

A treehouse sounded lovely with the beautiful views then I remembered I am scared of heights so I will have to go with a wofati.

And as John pointed out a person does not need to worry about tornadoes with a wofati.

And those beautiful views can still be had with a wofati greenhouse.

I think I still cling on that boyhood dream of living in a treehouse. Something fantastical about it.

Treehouse it is!

Wofati - easier to heat & cool, safer in storms, can be built for plenty of natural light. But, if I can manage it, I'd still climb trees (though sadly, it's been quite a while)

A treehouse, and in the upper reaches of the Amazon, while we’re dreaming.

As unrealistic as it may sound I'm going with treehouse, because echoing the childhood dreams sentiment.

It’s hard to decide. Of course wofatis have to be nice, and of course I want to live in a hobbit hole!—but the plastic is what really bothers me, and the damp that would probably result from leaving it out is just awful. (Some have suggested layered birch bark and clay though, which might be better. I think the native people of the plains use a thick layer of thatch to hold up their earthen roofs, but how that would hold up in the wet Vermont climate (where every single hole or dip fills up with water by spring). But a tree house sounds a lot more dangerous and less harder to keep warm.

My understanding of a wofati: quiet, ground-level, more consistent temperature, sturdy, bunker-like....
based on all that I'd live in the wofat and visit the treehouse.
