Gardening this morning. Got a bit of a sunburn standing out there watering. It was a scorcher today. Bleh. Transplanted some fish peppers (I have no idea what those are) into the berms and such. Put a small borage plant out, then got distracted with a bunch of other stuff, so Erica planted the other borage seedlings for me. :)
Went up to Cooper Cabin today to work on the siding in the bathroom. Got the one wall finished and started on the little wall. Was listening to a great episode of
Ologies where Alie was interviewing Alexis Nikole Nelson about
Foraging Ecology. I was stoked to see that Alie interviewed her for this podcast because I follow Alexis on
Instagram and absolutely love her content. I'm sure many of you would love it too if you're into foraging or just knowing weird facts about plants in your backyard. Check both of these awesome ladies out! Incredibly good content.
Anyways, popped over to grab the pull saw out of the van and stop by Willow Wonka to see what was going on with Fred and Chris over there. It's coming along and it sounds like there's some kind of plan forming. Neat! Hopefully I'll finish the bathroom in time to see WW dragged down to Basecamp.
After work, Chris and I got some dinner, then came back to work on the berm shed for a bit. Popped the dead man out to shave it a bit and adjust the post. Got the post ready to receive the rafter. Popped the dead man back in, dug out underneath it. Drove up to the Lab, shoveled 8 buckets of gravel, loaded those in the truck, came back, and ensured the dead man had a gravely bed to lie on. Cleaned out and organized the truck a bit before cleaning up and calling it a night.
It being such a warm day, I headed up to the outdoor showers to cool off. Even as I type this it's still 78F outside. Uffda. Gonna go lie down and call it a night. Hope y'all had a good one!
