Clean Four Windows, Inside and Out - PEP BB Nest.Sand.CleanWindows

We do this quite regularly since we try to follow the Flylady program (huge recommendation for anyone struggling to keep their home clean continuously), so it was extra hard to photograph. Thats why I took an action shot for all of them. I have been using only a splash of homemade apple cider vinegar in warm water with a cotton cloth and a cotton dishtowel for about half a year now and it works perfectly, better than bought cleaners. It is streak free and costs nothing if you can get your hands on some apple scraps

So for my glass cleaner I used warm water, towel/paper towels, and elbow grease. Most of my windows had lots of dirt, mainly from my dog. My bathroom window was coated in film, so I had to scrub extra hard on that one.

I've arrived at Wheaton Labs for BB20 and am staying in the new Solarium.  Wanting more solar gain, I decided to wash the two windows and the four panels of the sliding glass doors.  All the windows had a light coat of dust on them from the mudding around the windows and logs.  The sliding glass door panels cleaned up nicely but the two picture windows are either etched or stained with some type of resin so they don't look much better than before.

The glass cleaner is a 1:1 mix of vinegar and water in a spritz bottle that WL keeps on hand for such tasks.

Here are my 4 windows. I used water and a microfiber cloth to clean them.

I cleaned four windows. I used a home-mixed cleaner made of water, vinegar, alcohol, and lemon and peppermint essential oils. I also used cotton t-shirt rags, and a razor blade to remove dried paint and glue from the glass.

Window's really are crappy at before and after pictures.
1 door panel has about the same surface as 2 windows so I thought the 2 panels would be 2 "windows". The single door panel at the bottom is god awful but you can't tell from the picture so I can pair the window pictures but I can't tell which is clean and which is dirty.
