Yes, since they're for different badges they usually can mesh up in cases like this.

Yes I believe you can.  Although I don't think broths would work well nor would the likely count as sauces.  I think turning apple sauce into fruit leather would be what they're after...

Staff note (Nikki Roche) :

Great job! I *think* this is just a matter of mislabeled photos, but your herb photos are described as mint while the finished jar says stinging nettle. Can you provide clarification or an edit of your photo descriptions?

Note: I certify this BB complete.  Well done.  Great detail

Staff note (Paul Fookes) :

Congratulations Rebekah, this is a great example to follow for other permies following on.

This took a while to do!  Figuring out how to do wet things was tricky.  Used a paper grocery bag for the crackers in the solar dehydrator and a cast iron skillet for the apple sauce roll-ups.

Edit to add info:
The 6 different types of food I dried were:
Herbs - anise hyssop
Veggies - kale
Mushrooms - shiitake
Sauces - apple
Crackers - crackers
For flour - squash

Note: Hello, my dear Mike! It seems to me that you have two of the same type of things. Squash and kale are both veggies. Or are you going for the squash being a fruit? in which case, I believe it would need to be 10 lbs. fresh weight
