Time is up! We did not make it for the regular PTJ or the kid-inclusive PTJ week.

We want to have the 2025 Permaculture Technology Jamboree June 30th - July 18th, 2025

At Wheaton Labs - near Missoula, Montana

For Paul to put on the PTJ, we must sell at least 24 tickets to the two-week PTJ.

To try to accomplish this, tickets for the 2025 PTJ will be freaky cheap ($450/$350/$550*)
from Thursday, July 11th in the morning to Monday, July 15th, at noon MT.

If 24 tickets are sold, the 2025 PTJ will happen. If not, all tickets sold will be refunded.

Want to see what the 2024 PTJ has done? Click here!  And some general PTJ info is here.

A new development for the families who want to bring their children to the PTJ! We are implementing a new system so the kids can attend the event too!

2025, the PTJ will run for three weeks! First two weeks will be "adult" PTJ (kids aged 12 years and older are welcome to attend under the thistle program rules)

The third week will be family-friendly week with daycare for the little ones, and small projects suitable for children. Kids aged 12 and older can participate in the adult projects under the thistle program rules.

The third week of the PTJ is priced at $350 per person. (Children under 2 years old free of charge)

For more information about the family-friendly PTJ week, click here.

This event will be held at Wheaton Labs.  A beautiful event center and intentional community in the mountains outside Missoula, Montana.
You can fly into the Missoula airport and we will pick you up!

*These freaky cheap tickets are non-refundable.

*Transferring freaky cheap tickets to a new ticket holder is possible, but a $150 processing fee will apply.

Hello Alex!

Are you coming and bringing your beautiful family?    That would be so great!

I love that we can do both!

We will have a wonderful, serious and fun adult event.  Where we can really focus and get massive accomplishment on these huge and innovative projects.

Then...

Spend an awesome week with our kids, passing on the skills and getting to play as if we all live together in community!

What an amazing gift!  I am so excited!

The Sepp Holzer style root cellar is coming together!

Sepp can build one of these in a day.   This is just our first one so, it has taken longer as we are all still learning.

Next year I would like to learn Sepp's special day lengthening technique.

Maybe I should have clarified before I bought the tickets because I assumed that the first two weeks weren't family-friendly, so I didn't buy tickets for those weeks. But then this morning I saw a comment: Every parent has to do weekly childcare shifts so we have adult supervision with every group. So, the more families that come the fewer shifts each individual parent will have to work. -- so possibly alternating parent duties with other parents in the first 2 wks? Now I wonder if I should have purchased 4 tickets for all 3 weeks? hmmm... I'll be at WL on Sunday (yay!) so I have a little bit of time to rework the plan by Monday. I also noticed that this freaky cheap sale doesn't have a cap on the number of tickets, unlike the SKIP tickets where there was a cap -- so I probably didn't need to rush into purchasing.

If we're really going for world domination :-) we have to make sure those coming up behind us get taught the best way possible with access to all the learning and experience offered here so of course we have to have KID INCLUSION.

When there is so much to do it is often tempting to get on with it yourself - so much faster usually being the excuse - BUT being patient enough to enable all the children that come into your life with "permaculture innoculation" has to be worth the slowing down sometimes to show them how to.

This Jamboree is shaping up to be the best year yet the way it is divided up into groups that include families with kids of all ages.

I wish I lived close to all the fun - I'm in Australia - doing my best with kids and community so I'll be watching with great interest to see what I can take away from all of you lucky permie attendees, it's going to be AMAZING.

GOOD kids - yes

BAD kids - no

we could rephrase that to human instead of kid :)

unfortunately there really isn't a way to pre-determine which ones are or aren't

This is one of my favorite projects this year at the permaculture technology jamboree!

I think round wood timber framing with all wood joinery is art.

These trees were freshly cut.   Folks pealed off the bark and cut out the notches.

The tripod is the hoist point so we can raise the logs into position.
