This is Paul Wheaton's 16th Kickstarter!

When you’re bonkers about permaculture, you might seem a bit crazy to your friends and family.

Twelve years ago, we came out with a deck of Permaculture Playing Cards.
The idea was simple: give these decks to people as gifts so you seem a little less crazy.

And it worked.

People loved them so much that they kept asking for another deck.
So we started a long list of ideas, over a hundred in total, and chose the best ones to bring you something new:
the Purple Deck.

Why It Works

Here’s the magic: You hand someone a deck, maybe that cousin who thinks you’ve lost it because of your bizarre gardening techniques. They open it up, pull out two random cards, and spend about seven seconds looking at each.

That’s all it takes. Two cards. Fourteen seconds. And suddenly, they’re hooked on permaculture.

Each card is designed to spark curiosity and share one fascinating slice of the gardening, homesteading and permaculture world, from rocket cooktops to willow feeders, from forage gardening to cleaners you can eat.

What’s Inside the Purple Deck

Kickstarter kickback program!

You can get paid to share this project!

Ok, I just upped my pledge to account for the reduction by someone else so I can still be the one to bring it to $15,000.

The new stretch goal looks so awesome!

In 2009, Morgan and Mary Jane built an earthbag tiny home that became one of the most recognized examples of the technique. Their project has been featured around the world, and now, for the first time, their complete and accurate story is shared, with 148 color photos and clear instructions from foundation to roof.

Find more about it by clicking here. Remember that if we get to $20,000 every backer at $100 or up also gets this amazing ebook!

I have not done an earth bag project this extensive.   This is a really nice looking build.   I am excited to check out this ebook!

I did an earthbag build years ago using feed bags filled half way, rolled up tightly and tied with baling twine.  It went really fast and I was able to use all free materials.   One great thing about earthbag is you can create shelter in below freezing temperatures.  If your dirt is dry, it is easy to shovel it in bags.
You can cover it in cob on the warmer days and have your whole project done by the end of winter.

I had an idea!  And Paul's running with it!!!  If you throw $10 at the kickstarter (until it reaches $20k), you get three digital goodies.  These are worth well over $10.  Even if you don't want to back the project, you can do this to capture these treats. You get:

The latest rocket mass heater movie called Freaky Cheap Heat
The audiobook Building a Better World in Your Backyard
Issue #9 of "Living Woods" magazine

Hopefully this promotion helps the kickstarter keep growing.  As it grows, more people hear about it and more stretch goals appear and we all get tons of nifty stuff!  Tell your friends :)

Hello Mike!

That is such a great deal!   I already backed the kickstarter.  Do I need to up my pledge by $10 to get this new offer?
