I used organic coconut oil, as I didn't have walnut oil and coconut oil was recommended in some of the videos.

Boy was this long overdue,  thank you for the motivation to DO this.   I did my knife block while I was at it too.

Provide proof of the following as pictures or a video (<2 mins):
 - Wooden items in need of oiling
 - Action shot of you oiling one of the kitchen items
 - All the wooden kitchen items you oiled
 - Listing the type of oil you used. If other than walnut oil, please explain

I was surprised I had so many wooden items!    I used linseed oil for these;   it's food safe/ non-toxic  AND I already have it on hand for general outdoor wood oiling and doing the inside of my rabbit hutches.

Been a bit since I last did mine, was amused to find it’s a PEP item too! I use olive oil as it’s the only oil I’ve ever used for this and I don’t think I’ve ever seen walnut oil in the stores around here. Hands-on application and old knitted cotton dishcloth to rub in/buff.

Realised my knives needed a bit of love too and thought I might as well while I’m all oily already!

So I tried what I had on hand, which was grape seed oil and olive oil. I went with the olive oil cause it looked a little darker. I don’t see a whole lot of visible difference, but the knives I did were very old and dry. They feel much better now.

I used coconut oil as that's what I had at home and it was suggested in some of the videos.
