We have hidden gifts for you, in a handful of our youtube videos (check the descriptions).  At the moment there are 7 gifts.  We hope that in the next few days we will get that up to 12!

This thread is the center of this silly activity!  Please post lots of questions and clues, but please don't post any links - that would be taking the fun out of it.

For example:

   search for

         heater clean exhaust

Find my vid and in the description, you will find a lovely piece of candy!  In this case, it will be the pebble style rocket mass heater plans.

(note - all of these goodies will require a signup for the dailyish, but you can get them all right away.  Before, the dailyish stuff allowed you to get one bit of candy and then wait a few days for the next piece of candy)

next searches

         permaculture keynote

         free heating intro

         saving energy heat

...   results in three more pieces of candy!

Now the regular youtube browse stuff should start showing you more of my stuff in general.  including the most recent stuff.  And now you should get the rest of the candy handed to you!

Oh good!  At least one person is giving it a try!

I was looking at the numbers and thought "I guess this was a dumb idea. It took so long to set up!"

I tried this before and again today: I found nothing.  Bummer. At this point in my permies life I think I have nearly everything you're likely to offer but it would be fun just to find the gifts

It's a great idea

This choir member has all this candy hanging from her tree already (or at least connected to her phone) and is enjoying access to a printer for plans, plus all your videos during the seasonal respite with 4G

However, those who didn't do the Kickstarter can join in the festivities and help save the world with a pebble RMH

This is a very generous gift and oh what fun it is to surf on a Wheaton page today!

For anyone having trouble finding the gifts:

Head to the description of the videos, look for a mention of the dailyish! The goodies will appear to Your Stuff.

I think part of a scavenger hunt is that it is supposed to have a bit of challenge to it.  It sounds like some people are finding it okay.  So the challenge is not too difficult!

And I think the candy is pretty sweet.  These are some pretty substantial goodies!

It took a bit but once I figured out how to get the first the other 3 were easy to find.

two more pieces of candy.

One with a new video.  And another with an old video that has been updated.  Search for

     cast iron trash restoration

I haven't done this yet.  We got a stretch of good outside working weather the day I got the first email.  We got bad weather and no plans for Christmas weekend so I am saving it for a marathon with my husband.  We watch most of Paul's videos and participate in kickstarters.  Maybe there will be something in there to help with a current project, or an idea for the next one.  Either way it will be a good refresher on alot of stuff.  Even if I already have most or all of the candy, we get to spend or holiday with Paul and company.  Miss having him on our TV every Tuesday for permaculture smackdown.

11 are now available and the 12th is hidden in a video that will be released soon.

We have one more old video for which we need to release a clue ...

So, for now, if you have ten you are doing excellent!

What a sneaky way to get your videos to rate higher in the listings on YouTube... but I'll do anything to help with world domination ;)

Got 5 so far! Need to check the newer videos still.

Two tiny ads walk into a bar. The bartender says:
