For every past kickstarter (that I've supported), I've always increased my contribution significantly just before the kickstarter came to a close in hopes of winning a ticket to an event. I like the tipi stay for the $75k stretch goal, maybe more tickets along that idea as well - if feasible.

After Helen's course, I intended to do more research into entomology. I wonder if there's a resource available to include for a stretch goal?

If the course teaches you how to be a Master Gardener, it may be helpful to have some localized understanding of how best to apply the concepts, and perhaps that starts with a recommended understanding of a known-good selection of plants.
Just like a Bob Ross painting course starts with a known-good palette of paints.

I have looked a little bit into this but I have yet to find an answer. How can I pledge to this kickstarter on my sisters behalf? I would like to buy it for her. I believe she does not have an account on kickstarter. Is this possible?

Kickstarter doesn't do gift cards, and a person must back via an account associated with their own email address, which then needs to match their permies account.  So that's your nut to crack.

From their perspective, this is to discourage people from gaming the system.

Maybe someone else has another perspective, bit that's my 2 cents.

There is always:

"Dear Sis,

Here is money for you to back this kickstarter."

If you buy a DVD, you can watch it over and over and then give it to your sister.  She can watch it over and over and pass it on.  That's cool.

Digital stuff is priced much lower, but the idea is that you don't pass it on.  

This kickstarter is purely digital.

Here at permies we do have gift code stuff - but you would have to wait until the product exists to be able to buy a digital gift for somebody.
