Somebody with a hotmail email account asked me a question via hotmail.  I bet they are really curious why so many of their emails to different people get ignored, when in reality it is hotmail that is that has decided to reject a bunch of their emails.

Time to get something other than hotmail:

later today i'll send out an update and i need to mention this

Some notes about tickets to events:

We ask "who wants this?" and of all the people that want it, we select the people that have contributed the most to the kickstarter.

Keep in mind that the PDC is happening soon!  On friday afternoon we will put together the official "kickstarter survey" to ask "who wants this!" so we can select people quickly and they can start to make travel arrangements.

More details about ticket stretch goals in the kickstarter FAQ and in the kickstarter thread at permies.com.

Please note that this is the last kickstarter where we will give out event tickets as stretch goals.

Also, because some of these events are happening quite soon, it is probable that people at just $100 might get a ticket!  And, of course, if we have to choose between a person at $100 and a person at $101, we will be selecting the person that backed the kickstarter at the highest dollar value.  Although I am seeing this strategy used for a lot more than $101!  :)

I have contributed $100 to your current Kickstarter project.  I would like to have it as a gift for my brother.  How do I do that?

I dunno.  I am pretty sure kickstarter does not support that.  I think everything will go to you.

If you want it to go to your brother and you see nothing, then I think you have to cancel your kickstarter thing and then wait until the movie comes up and then use the permies.com stuff for a gift.

I got a kickstarter DM ....

If we pledged below $100 and then bump up our pledge to go over $100 during one of the stretch goals, do we get the additional item in just that stretch goal, or all of them? I'm interested in two of the prior stretch goal rewards, but those goals have already been met. Or maybe we can buy those particular items separately?

Everybody at $100 and up gets all the stretch goal stuff (with the exception of any stretch goal where the kickstarter ends and we didn't get enough for a particular stretch goal).

So if you are at $100 and you raise your backer level to $200, you get the exact same candy as at $100.  Except now you have a better chance to score some tickets.

Does this help?

Question for Paul/Beau/anyone who knows, is it 4 consultations for each person who've pledged over $100? Or, is it 1 consultation for 4 people who pledged over $100?

Just a reminder:  During the Permaculture Technology Jamboree, Uncle Mud will be teaching people how to build their own rocket mass heater shippable core - something they can take home!  So people at the $100 an up level could get one of six tickets to this event and take home a rocket mass heater core.  Here is a picture of one of the many variations of what Uncle Mud calls "The Cottage Rocket"

We have three possibilities for the next stretch goal:

   - 4 different backers can stay in the tipi for 3 nights

   - soil microscopy presentation with alan booker (from our garden master course)

   - illustrated composting chickens ebook

I'll set up more voting below ...
