If you're not sure, you can even just back at the $1 level and you'll still get all of this!

Looks like you're around 33% now, I signed up for the e-book! Do you know yet how the formatting of the e-book is handled by different readers? I have a Kindle and will probably get a low powered laptop when I go off grid, and the Kindle is great for low power use. But I imagine some of the pages just work best on a full sized screen.

I told my husband we have to get the book because you have beet soup (my specialty) on the cover in the same bowls we have! He wasn't as impressed lol.

Ordered a paperback! I love the whole concept of the book, I have been saying repeatedly I need a book to help me cook seasonally because I'm new to it. I'm very excited to check out the cheese making section, too!

Looking forward to a few of the added e-books, thank you all for the collaboration!

Just out of curiosity, why Kickstarter rather than some of the other crowdfunding sources?

Hi Kate,
Just pledged for your hard-cover book.  I'm happy to learn new off-grid skills, and perfect the older ones
Also, it makes so much sense to cook seasonally.  Thanks for writing this book!!  <3

It's not letting me click a choice on the kickstarter page.  I've reloaded the page, and still having problems....
Any ideas?

Kate is in Australia, and probably asleep? This sounds like a question to take up with the Kickstarter site.

However, you may want to try using a different browser. I successfully pledged this Kickstarter on Firefox earlier this morning. I just checked Microsoft Edge, and Chrome, they both let me click on a level of pledge.

I just pledged for the Hard Cover book and the eBook : )

This is so exciting - now I will have true recipes that I can use all the time with my homestead.

Thank you so much, Kate.

I can hardly wait for it to show up at my door.

~ may you get well past in pledges than you ever dreamed ~

Thank you all!

It's been such an exciting first day!

I will be posting an update soon with the first stretch goal announced!

Thank you Joylynn - you were right that I was asleep. I think I've had issues with some browsers not working on there, so hopefully it's just a matter of using a different browser, or turning it off and on again.

The Kindle version will be designed to be functional - there will be photos, but they will be above the recipe text so that you can read the recipe without scrolling a lot.

The PDF will be the same as the print version.

I'll be sending both out to anyone that's pledged for an ebook, so you can pick and choose whichever format best works for you.

I just saw the kickstarter update. Want to make sure I understand. If I upgrade my pledge to the Ultimate Supporter level I will get everything listed plus the rocket oven DVDs?

If the Kickstarter reaches the stretch goal, and you've selected the "ultimate supporter" level, you will get digital access to this: https://permies.com/wiki/134179/Rocket-Ovens-DVD-Paul-Wheaton

Plus all the other goodies at that level.

The earlybird bundle has now closed.

Thanks so much to everyone who pledged early and helped make the Kickstarter such a success!

And thanks again to those who generously donated their stuff to give away to the earlybirds!

There's still plenty of other goodies on offer for the rest of the Kickstarter, plus the cookbooks are priced lower than they will be in future, so if you make a pledge during the rest of the Kickstarter you're still getting a really good deal.

I'm locking this thread now. Any discussion or questions about the Kickstarter can happen over here: https://permies.com/t/151239/Grid-Homestead-Cookbook-Kickstarter-live
