Help with Cut - PEP BB medicine.straw.cut

Here is my submission for the Natural Medicine Aspect - Straw - Quinn List - Help with a Cut BB.

M06 (pseudonym) was trapped in a burning house decades ago and still suffers from the wounds and scars from then.   The scar tissue on her hands is very delicate and tends to break down (her words) which happens throughout the year and is worse in winter.  I often see what look like cuts near the joints and while this is not a traditional knife cut it is a similar wound but is more difficult to treat/heal due to the scar tissue on her hands.  

Recommendations:
    - Behavioral: wear gloves when washing dishes or outside in dry weather (winter & summer)
    - Food as medicine: no recommendations
    - Concoctions: two salves that I made
            -  "wound" salve is a blended salve using burdock, comfrey, and mint/tea tree
            -  comfrey salve

On February 10, she had one large cut/break at the joint of her right pointer finger and many smaller breaks in the scar tissue.  M06 tested two salves for comfort and redness.  She experienced no redness after applying either salve (no allergic reaction).  She used the would salve (burdock, comfrey, mint, and tea tree) and comfrey salve for about one week when the large cut had healed.  She continues to use the salves to prevent such serious damage (in photos below).

She wrote this today, "great success with the ointment I was privileged to use.   Thank you for letting me be a part of this trial. My hands haven’t been this good all winter. My hands have healed so much I’m able to use hand cream again. I was only using the ointments. The wound ointment healed the worst of the breakdowns. I had five on my right hand for a while. Only two on the left hand. My concern was right hand middle finger had just grown back from a breakdown last winter. Now I had two nail beds that had major cracks that easily turn into lost fingernails  The wound ointment works wonders to heal open areas. The comfrey heals in cracks and red areas. "

Natural Medicine - Straw - Cut

I was pulling grass out of the garden beds and noticed my knuckle was bleeding. A blister had formed and popped and a blade of grass had cut my finger.
Off I went to harvest a Comfrey and put half a leaf in my mouth to masticate, didn't taste bad but didn't like the texture.  Spit it out on my booboo, added a few drops of my homemade Fire Cider, and wrapped my finger with the rest of the leaf.  Tied with cotton string for gardening and left it on until morning.

The comfrey paste went on green, fire cider was almost clear, but just look at that stain!  3 days later, with handwashing and showers, the stain is still vibrant.

SF cut his leg while doing home maintenance. He has a fairly high pain tolerance and doesn't like to wear bandages. He showed it to me about 5 hours after he'd gotten hurt and after he'd cleaned it. It still looked raw when I saw it, so SF agreed to a poultice.

Treatment: I picked fresh plantain, yarrow, and a little tulsi and ground them in a mortar and pestle. I applied the poultice to his cut and wrapped it up.

Result: When SF removed the bandage and poultice that evening, he was surprised and said, "it looks a lot better already!" He was happy with the results and wanted to let the rest heal by itself.

This is Ancalagon. The black. While flying and terrorizing innocent people, he clothes lined himself. Flew right into a bridge during aerial combat. Professional medics gave him 6 stiches. In one week, when we had a family medic remove the stiches, she was impressed at how much was already healed. A very small mark is all that is left.
Despite black wires sticking out of his hide, I still goobered him up with my favorite healing salve. Comfrey, yarrow, calendula, lavender, and cottonwood bud are the herbs I use in my "Owie salve;" capable of healing bobos and great battle wounds of all tedious sorts.  We pasted his snout each day, twice a day, with my salve. The original scar is barely visible in one spot near his eye.

Dee cut her hand at work while dealing with garbages. It quickly became angry and she asked for advise.

I suggested that she use a tinture I call antibiotic. It includes these herbs: calendula, echinacea, garlic, Oregon grape and chaparral.

She was instructed to keep it as clean as possible especially at work. She applied the tincture x2 a day for 3 days.

Patient #2 was outside playing and cut their ankle. At first meeting, minutes after the cut was formed, I first cleaned the cut with soap and water to remove foreign debris. I inspected the depth of the cut and it was superficial. Patient #2 was overwhelmed by the blood.

 - Your suggestions for relief (including, but not limited to)
     - Behavioral: take deep diaphragmatic breaths to calm down; also, I did not provide any pain management so that the cut gives her feedback on how much to 'baby it'.
     - Food as medicine: stay hydrated and I gave her a small piece of ginger to gnaw on to soothe her anxious stomach.
     - Concoctions: After cleaning the wound, I applied a healing salve that I made with calendula, plantain, and yarrow to aid in healing then covered it with a band-aid. I helped Patient #2 remove band-aid and reapply salve before bed then again in the morning and put on a new band-aid. By the second night the cut no longer hurt and was healing nicely. I instructed patient #2 to reapply a small amount of salve with or without a band-aid as needed.
 - Description of success:  Patient #2 followed instructions (mostly because I tended to the cut) but I found that she only needed to reapply the salve  for a total of 5 days before the cut was forgotten about. After 2 weeks, it's hard to even see the scar tissue left behind.
