To document your completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pics:
 -  your raw materials
 -  your woven basket in-progress
 -  your completed woven basket showing it meets the minimum size
Last fall while weeding an area, I used a scrap of leather to de-prickle  lengths of trailing blackberry and roll them into loose coils.
To make my basket, I soaked the coils in a bucket of water. Then I made a simple spiral basket. I could use more practice...
However, the finished basket is sitting on a 6" ruler and there's one inside to give scale and showing it's a bit over the minimum size.

It was nice and flexible after soaking.

Now I understand the benefit of using a frame to get the first bits done.

I created a woven, German style, basket from locally harvest willow branches. First time!! I was told you either bury your first basket or gift it away. I choose away with goodies inside.
Below are the required photos of raw materials, the in-progress basket, and then the finished basket.
Using my hand for reference, the basket is well over the minimum requirements of 4" across and 3" deep.

I wove this basket out of willow. It meets the size requirements (4” wide and 3” deep), as demonstrated by the water bottle.

I first attempted a cattail basket but I had to give up, the gaps were too large, and the leaves wouldn't cooperate. I'm thinking I did something wrong with the harvest time or the moisture or a host of other things. Either way, I had dried willow that I harvested in the spring so I gave that a try and it took me less time to complete than I had spent trying to make the cattail work. I'm somewhat pleased with how it came out although I had hoped to have a square basket so I'll have to try this again.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
 -  make a woven basket
 -  minimum size: 4" across and 3" deep

To document your completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
  -  your raw materials
  -  your woven basket in-progress
  -  your completed woven basket showing it meets the minimum size

A rustic basket from Boston ivy (which we cut back every year)

Technique is halfway proper basketry, halfway free weaving since the material has its own mind.

It's not polished or very tightly weaved (it would be too heavy), but it can hold things and my teenagers say it's "cool".

Note: Part of the BB requirement should be "teen says its cool" (haha). Nicely done!!
