Beef and veggie stew!!
Recipe:
Stew meat
1 shallot or onion
2 potatoes
A handful of dehydrated carrots
Broth of choice ( I chose my homemade chicken broth)
Seasonings of choice-see photo

After prepping the ingredients, I added them to my instant pot on slow cook mode for 3 hours. And then went about my day until it was time to eat.

Edge case submission
To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
  - should serve at least 2 people (leftovers!)
  - ingredients are not pre-processed (no can-of-whatever soup or preshredded cheese, for example)
  - no microwave

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must:
  - post a rough recipe of what you put in your soup/stew/chowder/pottage
  - post a picture of you preparing some of the ingredients (chopping herbs or carrots, for example)
  - post a picture of your ingredients in their cooking vessel
  - post a picture of your finished soup!

Clarifications:
- All food prep and preservation BBs strictly prohibit plastic, teflon or aluminum touching the food at any point

I made a kale/chard soup!
Ingredients:
-Dino kale
-rainbow chard
-celery
-fresh garlic
-salt
-pepper
-sage
-thyme
-chicken broth
-lemon juice
-water
-extra virgin olive oil

I made a chonk with the oil and garlic and spices; cooked the celery and chard ends in the chonk; added the kale and steamed it a bit to soften it up; added the chard; then added broth and water and let it simmer for a bit. Grated Parmesan cheese finished it off.

(No plastic, aluminum foil, or teflon was harmed in the making of this soup)

Note: Your soup looks delicious, however the Parmesan cheese appears to be packaged in clingfilm?

Noted! Yes, the parm was wrapped in cling from the store. Technically, the parm was a garnish, but I am happy to receive and implement the feedback!

I am new to PEP and this is one of my first BBs—what happens with an “edge case”? Is it communicating: explain your reasoning and we will approve this attempt? Or: we need more information? Or: have another go at this?

Happy to make another soup. And I’m grateful for your feedback! 🫶🏻🌈✨

Every plan is a little cooler if you have a blimp. And a tiny ad.
