An easy to load log clip. Good help from the fellas on this one. Process is tough to conceptualize the same.

Remember this concept from decades ago.  Dairy farm with sawmill as side job.  had it set so log trucks could dump on one end then roll logs one at a time to other end to pick up with forks and put on sawmill.

Nice, i mean If you can set it up so it's easier to deal with in the future and doesn't take a monumental toll in the present, than that's the way ya go.  I think there's a burgeoning movement with that concept at its core somewhere around here.

I admit I shot it down at first glance but soon realized the suggestion had merit, but it needed proper execution.

Learning new carpentry skills, creating practical solutions that just end up being interesting looking. That's pretty fun.

That looks like possibly a praying mantis egg case.  When I find them in the field I transplant them to my greenhouse.

Caleb, how is the mycelium door looking?

I'm thinking about the need to open up the glass window to let the substrate start to dessicate.  If the contaminant is still present, possibly to replace that section of mycelium with a pre-dried chunk when I'm there next time.

That brown circle on the float is some(slightly crusty less than ideal) pine sap Grey found for an emergency field patch.. Heh.  His idea,  pretty good one and it slowed the leak down enough to let us use it.

No more door shrooms since the other day when I checked it.  I'm also not currently at locaton.  I'm taking a break for a little mid summer R&R.  When I get back I'll update the pic, unless another boot sees this and decides to do it, and you can let me know if its ready to take the glass out.
