…… grateful for golden milk.. these days I thoroughly enjoy a warm tea in the morning.. it’s a concoction I made that combines many of my favorite things.. turmeric ginger cinnamon nutmeg cacao a splash of milk and sometimes ashwaganda.. it was always a mystery to me why so many people enjoy a hot drink, like coffee or tea.. now, after two months+ of having this drink every morning, I think I get it.. Jen introduced me to golden milk, of which this drink (sometimes referred to as “the dez nog”) derives it’s main ingredient turmeric.. apparently great for liver health.. and my liver does actually feel good from this drink!.. the spiciness also warms my body somehow too.. Jen would hold a warm cup on a cold morning, with both hands and seemingly melt into a cozy ball of ceremonial delight.. now I share this ceremony/ritual, on a new-to-me kind of level.. thanks Jen..!

Inspired,
Dez

...

Dez, do you use turmeric and ginger roots (pieces), or powder for this golden milk?

I want to drink it. I like the taste of ginger and turmeric. I wanted to know more on how to make it. I do have powdered ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and 'raw cacao', probably I can use those.

…… grateful for finishing things.. the cat condo in the library is now installed and open for visits.. the dock lighting is done.. Yesterday was Art Day—we made signs and labels, and then prepared a charcuterie spread with schmears and crackers and other horsdvuers.. because an Art gallery might serve such a thing..!
