We want to help more folks come to the SKIP event this summer July 15th - 26th

To try to accomplish this, we're making tickets super-cheap ($450) from Friday, May 24th right now until Monday, May 27th, at noon mountain time.

But there's a catch -

For this to work, we must sell all 12 tickets.  If we do - that's great - freaky cheap tickets.  If we don't, fine, all these SKIP blitz tickets will be refunded.

All Tickets Sold! Thanks everybody!

Come one, come all!  Buy all the tickets!  Bring your friends and family!  The SKIP event is the place to be!!!

(note that if we sell all 12 tickets, these are non-refundable.  If we sell 11 tickets or less, we will refund all the tickets)

Paul will be going LIVE on his YouTube channel Saturday, May 25th at 10am MT with the SKIP instructors Mike Haasl and Opalyn Rose to talk about the event, the SKIP program and answer questions, so if you're intrigued, on the fence, all-in, or even watching from afar, make sure to join us here:

https://youtube.com/live/M_J9QSS97eI?feature=share

*These freaky cheap tickets are non-refundable.  If you need the 80% refundable, full-price ones, those are here:

I am so happy about this interest in the SKIP event. A few months I ago I saw ads for the SKIP program (and other Permies stuff!) in front-register magazines at the Dollar Tree in my town. I couldn't believe my eyes but it was great to see!

Hello!
I'm spanking new here and just watched your Youtube live. You asked about spreading the word about the program and I think I can help. I'm an instructional designer and can volunteer my expertise to increase participation and completion. I'd love to start an email or Zoom conversation.

Ive been folowing this couple's journey for quite a while, Mollison helped them design their small homestead and are a great reference of what  being connected with the land can be. I think they are a really good example of where SKIP is useful, they are really keen on finding someone competent!

It was nice stumbling with this vid today.

Thanks Andrés!

What a sweet video.  It is so great to see what people can create when they work together and stay in one place.

To me, the S.K.I.P.  program makes owning a place like this an achievable goal.    It gives me a path I can walk to create my dream.

Thank you everyone for jumping in and making if fun.

I am so excited to learn from Mike and Opalyn again this summer.

These two bring a unique art to their craft.

Mike taught me to use a chain saw, drill press and some really great hand tools.  Every time I get to learn from him I feel more able to create with wood.  He showed me what tools to use to remove and shape the wood.

I also see the forest differently after watching Mike work.   He can see the finished piece he wants to make before he even takes the wood out of the forest.   If you walk through the woods with him and listen to the way he looks at the materials, you can start to see it too.

Learning from Opalyn is a real gift.   The more I learn from her, the more I see how much there is to know.

She knows "how" to make stuff.  I can describe a kind of rug or weaving I saw and she can tell me how it is done and even how to warp the loom to create the weave.
One year she built a loom and another time she made a spinning wheel.

She is amazing!

I will bring a table loom this year.  Maybe in the off time she will help me warp it and we can get started on a plush wool rug for Wheaton Labs!

The projects you work on here, in these two weeks, will build skills you carry forever.

The opportunity to get a real head start on  SKIP badges
staying in a beautiful mountain location
and to see all the cool things at Wheaton labs - like the rocket mass heaters and WOFATI buidings!

all for just $450?

but only if all the tickets go this weekend?

Thank you Samantha for the kind words!  It's fun to teach and to show people how they can make things with their hands.

A couple years ago a guy was participating and he just fell in love with peeling logs and making small roundwood projects.  It might have been the first time in his 30? years that he had worked with natural wood materials.  He loved it so much that he decided he'd learn timberframing during all his vacation time from his city job.  I think he headed to Japan...

This is a really really good deal.  My nephew is going to boy scout camp this summer.  That's over $500 for one week and their food is probably off a Cisco truck.

You can buy 4 tickets at this price and it's still cheaper than one ticket at the regular price.  What a great vacation to take the hubby on :)

During the event you have the time, tools and guidance to get up to 5 badges completed.  If you work hard and are persistent...  You don't have to work any harder than you want though so many people pick and choose the bits they want to do and have more time to relax.

We'll see you all out at Wheaton Labs this July!

I noticed that the "list of Otises" has a new entry!

here is the link to the thread:

https://permies.com/t/161178/skills-inherit-property/List-Otises#1262230

Where I live most families are 4th or 5th generation on their land.  It is a good thing too because how could a young family afford to get started farming or ranching?
The cost of land, equipment and infrastructure make if prohibitively expensive and the profit margins are slim.

The young kids grew up with grandad, out working the farm ground, grazing animals and fixing fence.  When they came in from the fields they would wash up and get to work helping grandma put up the harvest from massive gardens.

They know their land, what it can do and how to protect it because they have generations of experience.  The elders have confidence that their lineage, hard work and investment will be carried forward.   It is the family farm and everyone contributes to infrastructure, security and future.

The S.K.I.P program puts this dream within reach for all of us.

Maybe your grandparents left you other gifts.  Now you can have a farm too.  Live your dream and be free.

All you have to do is carve a spoon, wash the dishes and bunch of other projects you will have to do anyway when you have your own place.

I think this path is way more fun than working an office job.

It is faster too.  How long will it take to earn a million dollars?

If I had to pay for my dreams I would have to scale them down.

Dream big!
Come play with us this summer!
This is a gift Paul is offering you.  If you accept it and make this investment of time and money it will change your life.  Open your mind to new possibilities.   There are many hands waiting to help.  Just reach out!

Buy your tickets here:
(Buy two - they are cheep.  Do you have a friend?)

Currently, I'm working on my truck for an Oddball badge bit. I'm glad Paul got a new truck...so no mechanical work! I can do it, but I'd rather work on the timber stuff!

Here's some woodcarving and solar panels. I need to carve a spoon!

I have everything to make a kindling cracker. Now, I just need to find the time! I'd like to make mine at home, before the event!

Oh, I want to try the rocket oven! And isn't that a solar oven?

Looks like they are either making cob or seed balls...and a lot of it!

Hello Tina!
Good for you!
So cool that you can do metal work!

The metal working badge is definitely one I will need to get at Wheaton  Labs!   They have all the tools there.  I don’t know how to do any of that stuff!

That's a really good point - not just instructors, but the tools you need for the task as well! That makes having a go and getting a few badges done so easy!

It's so much more fun to do stuff together with friends too.
