The oven required two baking soda applications, and a whole lot more elbow grease after the second application. My tools were a rag and a steel wool sponge.
I cleaned my oven with water and baking soda only. I’ve used this method on my stove top many times but this is the time using them in the oven. It worked surprisingly well.

Cleaning our tiny oven! Put baking soda on the bottom, then poured a little water on the top of it and let it sit before scrubbing with sponge. For the sides made a paste with the water and rubbed it on. It was kind of fun, like making slim that cleans! The one mark left is a burn mark, wasn't coming off. Much much cleaner!

Okay I went for it! I had a really hard time because the front glass of our oven is broken. We've tried to replace it but can't find the right size :(
Edit: Clarification- There are two layers of glass for the oven. The inside part is broken- you can see the missing chunk. The oven still works fine. The broken glass just makes the glass extremely hard to clean and residue can get in between the two layers. I didn't want to press too hard on the glass in fear of breaking off another chunk so I did lots of "little circles" with my scrubbie.

Ya, that darkness in the back is burnt on crap...

Finito. I would have liked to do more on the glass but I was starting to feel it flex and shift :(
Someone approved this submission. Note: Certified with a bit of a caveat. Normally we'd like to see the glass much cleaner but since it's broken, we understand it can't be cleaned much further with elbow grease.
I don't normally have a dirty oven, but we inherited this oldie when we bough our house, this challenge was the driving force it took for me to set aside a few minutes amidst the chaos to clean it! YAY its all done!
