Would you rather have house plants in every room of your house or none at all?

If the fairy from the previous question is watering them, and I guess she'd have to give them light too, I'd LOVE having them in every room. I have done so in the past, but the watering got bad, and this rental has only tiny amounts of natural light.
So I'd love the everywhere, if they could survive it, without me having to do it.

To me, a house isn't a home unless it has at least one plant and at least one cat. even when I lived in a van traveling around the country I had plants and cats.

I'm with Pearl, if the house plant fairy would water, feed and repot all the houseplants for me, they'd be in every room of our house and not just in two rooms.

So at the moment, there are two snake plants in our bedroom and a 3 tier shelf crammed with houseplants in our living room.

The phrase “House Plant” stops me.  We have herbs and lettuce growing in just about every room. So, if we stick to the phrase “ House Plant” then my answer is none at all.

Plants in every room in the winter and no plant inside for summer. Even my African violets go outside to enjoy the natural sunlight and rain in summer time.

Every room. Even if I can't eat them, they still help keep the air fresher.

I would love to have houseplants in every room as opposed to none at all.

I have a tiny house and there is just no place for houseplants except in the laundry room.

I started with six spider plants in water as an experiment.

They can live in water though it appear they grow roots and nothing else.

I am going to say none at all because half of this house is totally unsuited to plants and that would mean I would have to move or have special lights and heaters all over the house.

I’ll have them in every room. Everywhere there are plants, life is better.

I have to go with every room. The ones in certain people’s bedrooms might not survive, though.

ONLY House plants then none at all. Many kinds of useful plants, EVERY ROOM! Some "house plants" can be useful for more than O2.

I think the time/effort commitment makes the decision for me on this one: none at all.

In reality, I would like some house plants. But I'd rather be able to focus on the outside plants, and keep the inside plants to a moderate number, rather than have so many that I can't take care of any of them properly.

I would go with NONE, assuming I had a greenhouse to overwinter things in and start seedlings.

I become habituation-blind to all the stuff inside quite quickly. Inside is utility space that should be clean and low-maintenance. Soaking in nature happens outside.

Also, plants might clean the air, but at night they are net CO2 emitters, and high CO2 concentrations are bad for sleep quality.

None, I am very neglectful when it comes to house plants, I pay much more attention to what's growing outside. I can only manage cactus plants, they don't die, even when they get neglected.

I don't think I want to live without house plants, so every room.  It's just most of the rooms don't have enough light, so I would have to rig up lights or something.

This is a toughy - I think I need one of those 'houses in a greenhouse' although I don't know how they don't bake in the summer!

I'm not that good at caring for the house plants I have, so I suspect I will have to go for none at all out of attrition even if I gave the every room option a chance.

Yeah, but does being a ninja come with a dental plan? And what about this tiny ad?
