I'm having trouble with my Shutterstock account.  I updated the profile, but the new photo doesn't show when I'm logged out, or when I clean my cookies/cash/whatever, or when I try on a new browser, or on a different computer, or on a different computer in a different part of town, or at a friend's house at their computer.

BUT the people at SS say that it shows the correct photo.

I suspect it's a country issue.

What we need is a few people to do an experiment.  Maybe some Canadians and maybe some from the US... maybe some from elsewhere?

Step 1: go here https://www.shutterstock.com/g/crowinghen

Step 2: report back which profile photos you see (it's the one in the circle at the top).

Let's find out if different countries show different pictures.

Ah HA!

That's what I'm getting too.

I was worried I was going crazy.

I cleaned my browser.  I cleaned my computer with the deep scan that comes with windows. I used two other deep scan cleaning software.  I'm still getting the same photo.

The wheel looks better than the lapgoat for so small a photo, right?

Definitely, the wheel is great, distinctive even very small.

I couldn't tell what the heck the goat was until someone else described it..

Great info.

Thanks guys for participating in the experiment.

I wonder why the Canadian internet is so weird that it's not updating?  Is it something to do with the internet in the country or something to do with the way the other site is formatted?

Bell Mobility. But sometimes I'm on Wi-Fi. I'm going to check it both ways now.

I get the exact same thing whether viewing it through my data plan or on the Starbucks Wi-Fi with my data turned off. So it's probably about the device and not the carrier.

Canada. Wifi, Windows 7 PC,  teksavvy (I think they buy their service from Bell), and also seeing the goat. And yes, spinnning wheel is much cooler for such a small image.

Aww, I feel gypped.  I see the spinning wheel, but there's no sign of the "lapgoat" sheep in the portfolio.
I'm in Canada, using the Chrome browser on the Rogers wireless network on a Windows PC.

Lapgoat people, can you check again?

Is there any chance you are using Shaw internet?
Anyone using Shaw internet and getting the wheel?  If so, are you in BC?

May be a matter of the pic service using caching for certain parts of the world. The cache may not update regularly, so for those locales getting served from the cache, the old pic is showing. If so, their tech people _might_ (maybe...) understand the situation and be able to confirm, at least, that they use a website caching service. There might be a vague chance that you could do something as the website admin to force or hurry cache update; seems unlikely, but not my territory.

Just a thought.

I still see the black and white photo. I use a Telus subsidiary. If I find a Shaw hotspot somewhere in town, I'll check again.
