Thank you very much, Stephen - these pictures are useful. A few things... the berm you are posing on was Jay's. Mine was directly to the left of it in your photo. The stamp on the cracker was on the sky-facing flat part of the bottom, along the angle edge. It was a very tiny letter stamp we had to use, so it's difficult to see.

If you use venmo I am happy to offer a tip, or if I put some time into it, I'll figure out how to use pie.

BRK #42
(the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything)

It's the end to a whirlwind of a week! For instance, I walked up towards the Tent Pads from the Fisher Price House earlier this week, and was surprised by a blown-over section of junkpole fence in my way. I'm fairly certain we'll be re-mounting this in the coming week. Until then, I'll rely on Grey's "pioneer path" to make my way up to the tent.

And there's been another sighting of the Rocky Mountain Hirsute Dipshit, this time by Dez! Dez was out water-harvesting at a nearby creek, and it seems like the elusive beast attempted to run off with his intake hose. What a knave...!

Finally: In calmer news, here's some budding Valerian in the Basecamp 1 hugel I'm assigned to care for. It seems like - regardless of the lack of rain - everything is popping up and producing. The early-season peas are now dried up, making way for more sunchokes, corn, and sunflowers. I'm looking forward to seeing more of a harvest at the close of the summer and beyond.

Thank you for reading, and enjoy your day...!

Was that one of the junkpole sections the SKIP class built?

Oh, of course not. :)

Seriously: It's a bit further south, right next to the yurt pad, where the switchback turns the path further up the hill. The SKIP fences are: so far, so good.
