You could get a ticket to the 2021 Permaculture Technology Jamboree for $65. Maybe. Sorta. Kinda. Not really, but maybe.
Here’s the story …
The kickstarter hit $55,000! Yaaaaaaaayyyy! All those people backing at $65 or more get so much stuff!
And the next stretch goal is … (drum roll goes here) … six people will get a ticket to the 2021 Permaculture Technology Jamboree.
Here’s how it works: when the kickstarter is over, we will ask all the people backing at $65 or more “wanna go?” Of all the people that say “yes” we will select the six people that are putting the most into the kickstarter. And this is why we see a lot of backers put in an extra dollar or two. And some people have put in an extra seven dollars.
The Permaculture Technology Jamboree has TEN tracks of projects happening simultaneously. Some of the projects include:
- rocket sauna
- Sepp Holzer spring terrace
- water from a humus well
- solarium
- dry stack moon gate (more like a window, really)
- fresnel lens glass melter
- building the electric hay ride (electric tractor)
- round wood timber framing (pavilion)
- passive solar garden heater
- rocket forge
- rocket kiln
- night time food dehydrator (rocket assist)
- trombe wall
- shaving horse
- repair cafe
- DIY deep well pump
- heliostat
- cob sink
- haybox cooker with a low power assist
- junk pole fence
- SKIP track (each person is guided through a solo project)
o woodburning a sign
o carve tool handles
o make fireplace tools
o sharpen tools
o make roundwood mallets
o make a three-log bench
o make adobe bricks
o build a dry-stack retaining wall
o cut down trees for use in log structures and/or firewood
o make a rock jack to support a fence without digging post holes
o sealing a pond without a liner
- homesteading track (each person is guided through a solo project)
o make a bird house, insect hotel, snake and toad habitat
o make a hugelkultur garden
o hot water bath canning
o fermenting
o pickling
o foraging
o harvest and eat wild edibles
o harvest and preserve natural medicine: comfrey poultice, dried mullein leaves, and more!
o make public art and branding a location
o textiles: sewing, darning, crochet, basket weaving, making twine
o using rocket stoves, rocket ovens, and rocket water heaters
o everyone who wants to can drive the excavator

Failure is a sign of activity and learning. It had nothing to do with under achievement

Thank you all who contributed with their stuff for the amazing bundle of goodies, from super early bird to strech goals stuff and all between. Also thanks Paul, Mike and volunteers for this crazy good campaign.
I have a question regarding giving ebook codes away. Will 'Knights who say free' deal with ebook codes too?
Or can I open a thread here that says something like: I'm giving away ebook codes for SKIP book and first X people that post here will get one each?
Kirsten MacElroy wrote:I'd love to up my pledge to $65, but it then increases the shipping to the UK to $45, which would take the total to $110 (£80) and I don't have that much disposable income in a month! I only want one book (shipping $15) but that's not an option :(

Kw Velasco wrote:I just upped my dealio to $65.00 + 15.00 for shipping = $80.00 for the whole deal.
I can hardly wait :D
Thanks Paul & Mike for this.
I think the new total when I did it was 57,900.00
Wahoo !
