A small broken blister makes good excuse for the aloe poultice.

First, the spiky leaf edges were cut, then split by the gel.

Finally the knife was used as a razor to extract the gel.

I'm making burn poultices and freezing them to be ready when I need them. These are screenshots from a video I made. I added Aloe, comfrey, yarrow, and vitamin e oil to this poultice mix.

My daughter asked for aloe to sooth a bug bite, and I used a little myself on a patch of contact dermatitis. I prefer to hold the leaf to my skin.
