You probably heard about the Garden Master Course given by Helen Attowe at Wheaton Labs. The week-long event was a hit, each day filled with hours of rich, lively presentations and discussions informed by decades of professional experience.

Fortunately, we recorded it on video, and I have now had the chance to look through much of it. Along with awesome content and great production quality, I see there is still much work to be done. Fixing technical issues, editing flow between multiple views, and adjusting (a lot of) audio for audience questions is the bulk of it.

I need your help to convince Paul to do this as a kickstarter!

Leave your comments below, and give a thumbs up to this post if you would support this kickstarter.

Some topics:
  • Designing an agroecosystem or garden-ecosystem within your environment.
  • Agroecosystem details.
  • Soil basics, ecology, and microbial interactions.
  • Working with Insects in the farm/garden system & creating habitat.
  • Benefits of weeds & how to design weeds into your system.
  • Working with diseases in the farm/garden System.

  • Thanks,
    Jeff

I attended the garden master course and think it was very useful. For anyone on the fence, I think this would be a useful set of lectures to watch and learn from.

As someone who lives many miles away from Montana and traveling to a class is hard to do. It would be great to have a video of this master class than I could watch at home.  I would support this kickstarter with my money and try my best to promote the kickstarter on my social media profile.

Sounds like the next best thing to being there in person.  I would back at least at the level that gets the video content.

Count me in on this one as well.  This is the kind of information that a person can get something new from every time they watch or listen. I would love to be able to attend in person, but that wouldn't be a reality for another couple of years....this project would make a great substitute for the time being!

Holy Moses Boys and Girls ... why wouldn't you do this as a Kickstarter?! Are you kidding! Insects, gardens, soil ... ecosystems within your own area, what is not to love? Of course you should do this! I too ... do not live in Montana, (wish I did!) ... A video would be very helpful! Thank you so much for asking me to join this conversation ... I do so love standing on a soapbox! 🤗

I really wanted to go but couldn’t get my schedule to work out so I could come. I would definitely contribute to a kickstarter to get the recordings of the event.

As someone who purchased the digital class at the time and is slowly watching the zoom videos, I wonder how necessary cleaning them up is. The tiny slides for the first part of Monday are annoying, but otherwise the info seems perfectly intelligible to me as is.
As long as the zoom videos continue to be available to me after having bought the class, it doesn’t matter to me either way. I just wonder of the effort might be better spent on a different project.

I took the MG classes, hardly learned a thing.  Actually participated for missing info.  Never mention hugel beds or Al Setzer.   I got a few hugels on property.  I guess didn't learn much in class, since i read a few books on gardening.
Permaculture is a great goal post.

I wasn't in a position to buy into watching it live and was hoping the video would come available to watch on my own schedule. Based on my assumptions from the previous campaigns, I imagine that I'll be a backer if this gets done.

I admit that the word "commercial" is a bit intimidating, but I'm sure I'd learn heaps watching the video and applying what I can to my little garden, so count me in. I'm already thinking how I can get it closed captioned in Japanese -- or maybe an audio track.  Yes, I would buy it.
