from a kickstarter direct message

how much is filmed/taught in a classroom environment of sorts, how much is on the ground, with the camera following the instructors on fields, forest, etc.?

I think nearly all of it is in a classroom, with slides.  There might be an hour, outside, in the snow.

What general time will the webinar be at? Will it be available to watch for voters for a certain amount of time/forever? I think at least a week is reasonable and this would give me the opportunity to watch.

Step one: we find out what crop wins.
Step two: we contact a potential webinar presenter, and find out if they want to do one.
Step three: scheduling and stuff.

I don't see a way to schedule something with an unknown person about an unknown topic.

Hi,
my 2 cents:

It says epigentics instead of epigenEtics on the picture for a new stretch goal ;-)

Have a nice day, and another daily kickstarter success!

Hi Guys,
What is the update on the Penny Poll.  I voted for Sepp Holzer grain in the hope of getting to understand what it is and how we go about using it  improve our Permies capability
Not that I am trying to sway the vote at all .........    🤑😇 If I back it for 26, do I get 2 Sepp votes?

Sure, but you, or someone, might be able to speak to whether it will be a live-only event or recorded so that we who voted will be able to actually watch when our schedule inevitably prevents us from being there live.

Beau, what I am reading is will  the webinar/ podcast/ live stream or what other alternative be available to those who successfully picked the winner for viewing just as the other webinars etc are?

My thought is,  based on my knowledge of past activities, that where possible, every one who backs the winner, and I say again, where humanly possible,  will get to see or hear it.

I backed the passive greenhouse but only got to attend two discussion sessions.  But the real fun was in backing it and seeing it through to completion via the updates

So, to answer Christopher and Vinnie,  There is a high likelihood that you will get to enjoy the reward(s), but there is a chance, and particularly if your choice does not get up, you may miss out.  Remember that this is a Kickstarter.
As Beau said, to paraphrase, we are dealing with a huge number of variables.  In effect, we are betting that our choice will get up as a first step.  The second is the format of the reward, copyright etc will fit with our individual schedules.

It is not the goal that is the reward, but it is in hindsight we see the true reward was in the journey.

Oh!  I see.  You are asking if a hypothetical live webinar will be able to be recorded and viewed later.

Short answer: I have no idea.

Long answer:  We made the penny vote on a whim, kind of for funsies.  The possibility of a webinar came up later, because we were having so much fun talking about all the crops.  It was kind of an extra, add-on idea.  And it's very possible that every crop expert we might ask to do the webinar may just say "no," or "yeah, but not recordings," or "yeah, but the recording has to be listed separately," or "yeah, but instead I want to do a webinar about the mise en scène perfection of Orson Welles' 'Citizen Kane'."  So then we'd have to figure that one out, too, because Rosebud wasn't actually one of the crops now, was it?  Lots of variables, pure speculation at this point.

How about if we get a little ways down the road and then have this chat again?  I promise we will keep you posted.

The good news is, we have no way of contacting specific "penny-level" backers until after the campaign is over, so odds are, if we can make a webinar happen, it will be open to all backers.

Wahoo and Huzzah for accomplishing this fantastic goal everyone!!

I am so looking forward to all these goodies! They will help to bring me forward to my goal as a permie : D

I really want to encourage anyone who can upgrade their amount to at least the $100 spot to do so now so we can reach the next goal!

I really learn better when I can get things into PDFs- hard copy - and write down all my notes and get out my highlighters and colored pencils to highlight very important ideas that I need to remember above the rest.

Thank you so much!
