Dehydrate Food in a Solar Dehydrator - PEP BB food.sand.dehydrate

Dried some bananas that were getting overripe.

Here is my submission for the Food Preparation and Preservation - Sand - Dehydrate Food in a Solar Dehydrator BB.

At the PJT, I dehydrated over 2# bananas during the SkIP Event 2021.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
   - a picture of your food on a scale before dehydration (or, obviously far more than two pounds)
   - a picture of your food in your solar dehydrator before dehydration (with entire structure of dehydrator)
   - a picture of your food in your solar dehydrator after dehydration (with entire structure of dehydrator)

I use the great big solar dehydrator in Arrakis. I picked 3 lbs of saskatoons.

I dehydrated some bananas that were on their way out this summer. Very tasty in oatmeal!

I dehydrated a couple pounds of peaches.  I used my Sun Oven in dehydrator mode with the lid slightly propped open for ventilation.  

I dried apples. And I adapted my solar cooker to dehydration by holding the apples on racks above the cast iron surface. There was some trial and error, but I think I have a system worked out now.

(I first tried sun-drying tomatoes on the dash of my car and it went well for three days, but then it turned cloudy for a week and they molded.)

Is that dehydrator based on the Walk dehydrator principle with a greater slope for low sun whilst keeping the trays flat?
