Just an interesting anecdote about "squeaky clean"
In Japanese that sound of a dish squeaking as you wipe it is "kyutto" or "kyukkyu" (actually really hard to transliterate into English).
I was once cleaning up after a dinner event and was in a rush to get the dishes cleaned up. One of my guests was helping bring the dishes over while I was cleaning. She looked at me dubiously and offered to help. I said it's okay! She said "but the dishes don't say 'kyu'"
That made me reevaluate my dish cleaning and appreciate the meaning of squeaky clean.
