Carabiner, 550 cord, a knot, and a couple screw hooks. Simple and effective.

I have set up indoor drying racks in our basement boiler room. This space isn’t used and the room is warm in the winter. We used this set up last winter and it worked well. In the summer, the racks are used on the patio outside.

I think the word ‘installed’ has mislead me. It maybe a US / UK difference. My UK Chambers dictionary definition is:
1) To set up and put in use
2) To place in a certain position

I feel my solution has been installed, but I failed …  so clearly installed means something different.

No worries . . .

While I have long wanted a retractable multi-line clothesline to put above the tub, I didn't want to order more plastic crap (does anyone make anything in metal anymore?). I already had an extra extendable bar and some closet rod brackets, sooo...

I have had this pulley system for over a year now and was able to convince my husband to finally install it.  Double bonus because I can now make my whites whiter with the power of sunshine!

Hey skippers! I am using an old patio umbrella. I placed it into a pipe, which I buried in the corner of my lawn. The fabric skirt isn't damaged, so I will keep it. Maybe I'll make a skirt out of it?? 😉

It just cranks up. It doesn't take up much room. But even so, it can be pulled out of the pipe/hole easily and the lawn can be mowed.

After visiting WL I was reminded how much I missed having a clothesline outside. I use to have a permanent system at my last house. I found a dusty, discounted, retractable clothesline at a hardware store and I'm so thrilled to now be able to hang my laundry outside! I needed to trim some trees to allow clearance/access to the clothesline.

Here is my solution. The clothesline in the video is 10 meters long. It's super quick to set up, the clothesline tightener makes it easy to tighten the line and take down is just as fast as setting up. All components are of first class quality.
