We passed $135,000!!! (I guess Beau needs to sleep sometimes, Jeff beat me to it though)

I’d like to see more then one stretch goal at a time. It might help people get on board. I upped my pledge as soon as I saw Mudd’s heating a greenhouse webinar. Just my $0.02.

Good luck permies!!!

Another stretch goal has been reached 😊
I appreciate that there are Stretch goals and I understand having the bar set at $100 for most of the rewards even though $50 is enough to get the course. … Afterall, it is a fundraiser. I increased my pledge so that I would be able to get some of the stretch goals. But I have found a few not applicable to the 99.93% majority of backers. For example, Goal $75,000 – 3 night stay at Tipi for top 4 and Goal $135,000 – top 4 people get one free hour consultation with Paul. At the moment, there are 1,517 backers,, 11 of these pledges are $400 of more. So these 2 stretch goals are aimed at only 0.7%
I’m not sure if having stretch goals aimed at such a small percentage of backers is encouraging or discouraging more backers. Some of us are struggling to be able to support the $100 pledge.
Another “point of curiosity” though …. At the moment, there are 201 backers at the $80 level …. Not sure why they don’t up their pledge by $20 to make their pledge $100 so that they can receive the stretch goals …. If each backer in this level did raise their pledge, that’s another $4,000.
By the way, how will all the extra funds raised by the Kickstarter be used?
Looking forward to maybe one or 2 more stretch goals being met, hopefully for all $100 and up backers. 😊
Also, very excited about enjoying the Garden Master Course! I truly appreciate all the “extra gravy” that the Stretch goals are providing 😊

What we will do is when the survey goes out, ask everybody at $100 and higher "do you want this?" And for something like staying in the tipi,  there might be only 6 people that say "yes".  So the top four of those people ...   probably one of those will be something like $107.

The point is, it goes to the top 4 backers that want it.  And there are a lot of people adjusting their pledge to $101 or $111 or whatever trying to guess what might get them high enough to get that stuff.

HHH?

These funds are our operating capitol for permies.com and wheaton labs projects.

So you are seeing video of an event here.  But there is a lot of subsidy to build up our infrastructure to host a winter event.  And it is the funds from kickstarters that guaranteed the event would happen.  And it is the promise of coin from the kickstarter that gets the video to happen, and, of course, the editing.

So here we are, using a massive web site that comes with a lot of expenses.  And we are churning out heaps and heaps of free stuff all in the hopes of affecting positive global change.

And wheaton labs is doing all sorts of physical projects to prove and demonstrate all sorts of stuff.

It all takes coin.

Some places are non-profits and they beg for checks.  We make stuff and sell it.  And others believe in what we are doing so much they add their stuff to our heaps of stuff.

This actually had something click to me. I started out giving 80$ and then went to 100$, but on kickstarter it was left as 80$ plus 20$ extra. Because of this I was still registered as a 80$ backer. I changed it so I am now in the correct level (the 100$ Level), but if I did this, then others probably did too. So, many of those 200 backers at the $80 level might have just added 20 $ to their pledge, but not changed their level to the 100$ one. Does that make sense?

I had to go through a process to figure this out, too. I have found Kickstarter's website difficult to navigate, and not intuitive at all. I'll bet you're exactly right about this! Then there may be hundreds of unhappy $100 people who don't get their stretch rewards...

I was the pledge adjustment. I realized that because I just added 20$ to my 80$ pledge, I wasn’t registered as a 100$ backer. I went in and changed that this morning. So I am still pledging the same, now I am just in the correct level.

At 3:35 in the excerpt video there's a typo (I think) in the words that appear visually: "h higher" instead of just "higher". If a comment like this should go elsewhere instead, just say so.
Staff note (Andrés Bernal) :

Thanks Christopher! Fixing it
