Yup, got it going!  Unless I broke something in the process -

I think most folks cannot see this yet, but it'll be here when all the backers get added:

This kickstarter had a very strong start, but it looks like it will have a soft finish.

Here's the link to the daily chart:

And here is the better world book for comparison

Been lurking on this forum for over a decade if my memory is correct. This project convinced me to get involved. What an incredible value for educational material! Great job all around and I am very much looking forward to seeing the finished product. Thank you for fighting the good fight Paul, I know it was never easy.

I was considering bumping up to 100 for a while. For me I think the deadline pushed me to it most. Anyway, enjoy another 20 bucks

Honestly the stretch goals pale in comparison to the main project material for me, but there are a few interesting ones. The related ones in particular appeal to me, such as the companion guide and animations. The completely unrelated stuff doesn't do so much for me. But quite a few are tangentially related, like the kourik book and Helen's other material. I hope this feedback is useful.

I'm happy to support the forum and community I spend so much time with. Make the most of the success paul and company!
Staff note (Beau M. Davidson) :

thanks for the feedback, L!!!  Good notes.

christine has a dailyish going out, and i have now put out another dailyish on the heels of hers that says

Hi, this is paul wheaton and this is our last email about this kickstarter.  And it is mostly because I just wanna tell this silly story.

A few years ago we did the better world book kickstarter.  And we sent out a last minute email that said something like "6 hours left".

Jennifer was signed up for the dailyish, but she rarely opened them.  There's just too many.  But she did read the subject lines in her email.  She was in a period of strict frugality, so there is no way she would ever support it, but she opened the email and went to the kickstarter.  There were so many stretch goals, she decided to back at $100, despite her frugality vows.  With about 30 minutes to spare.

Josiah was signed up for the dailyish and rarely opened them. He had been thinking of a life change and possibly coming to the permaculture bootcamp.  He saw the email with just a few hours left and thought he would take a quick peek.  On that kickstarter, one of the stretch goals was admittance to the bootcamp, so he backed the kickstarter thinking "twofer."  He backed the kickstarter with 40 minutes to spare.

Another stretch goal for that kickstarter was tickets to our PDC.  They both got the tickets and came.  Once here, they both asked to stay on in the bootcamp.  Apparently they both stayed because they were each dopey about the other, but they were also both too shy to make a move ...

It took six months ...  six months of shyness ...  six months of "hur hur hur hur ..."  ...  i still have no idea what happened to break this shyness barrier, but it was a plump six months in coming ...

After two years had passed, they were engaged and Jennifer inherited a bunch of acres ...  they are now married and expecting.

I dedicate this last minute email about this kickstarter to Jennifer and Josiah. I hope you give your kid a silly name - because I need there to be more silly in the world.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/paulwheaton/garden-master?ref=9ax2et

(it takes six hours for the dailyish to go out, so I am guessing at how many hours are left when you get this)
