quick question: 2 cups DRY rice or 2 cups COOKED rice?
I usually cook 1 cup dry jasmine rice (which makes a little over 3 cups cooked) when I cook a meal for my family.
Should I start with 2 cups dry rice? Or should I end up with at least 2 cups cooked rice?
Thanks in advance!!

:
The grain should measure at least 2 cups after cooking.
Good day! I cooked two cups of white rice with three cups of water in a two quart stainless steel pot. I used a stainless steel whisk to stir and fluff the rice. No plastic was used. Thank you.
The last picture is the full measured quantity of cooked rice. I used the two quart pot to show that half of the pot equals one quart, or four cups (at least) of cooked rice.

I used 1.5 cups rice (the glass containers are 1.5 c), 2 cups water, half a cup of chicken broth for extra flavor. Cooked in medical stone coated pans.
