I managed to lose a button when carrying a crate full of tools. I raided my partner's impressive stash of buttons, found a close match and sewed it on. The thread, which is linen, is far from a good match but it was the thickest, strongest thread I could find!

Bought this viscose top at the fleamarket and it did not survive the first wash... used 100% cotton thread.

Replaced a lost button on this handmedown baby shirt. The thread is cotton and the new button is shell from my stash. It’s not an exact match for the other buttons, but it’s the perfect size. And I say it’s close enough that no one would notice unless I point it out.

Sewing a button on some cargo shorts. I've done this before, but after watching the videos I realized I never did it right and it is actually so easy!

Found an extra button on the inside of the shorts. Yay!

Button tore off my wedding dress so I reinforced the area where it was with a patch and then sewed the button back on! :)

A long needed fix. My daughter coached me thru this since it had been a few years from my last fix.

For this Badge Bit, you will sew on a button! Preferably, you'll be mending an article of clothing, but that's not essential.

To document your completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
 -  your button, thread, and the cloth you will sew the button onto
 -  the process of sewing on the button
 -  your button sewn on, both from the front and the back

A small button is being sewn back on a sleeve.

Note: Really nice work, but the requirements want a picture of the button from the back too. Add that photo and resubmit.
