Hello, I cleaned my shop!  Thanks to you.

Here you can see a shop with a couple of issues.  There are large balls rolling around on the floor.  Airhoses and vacuum tubing carefully positioned in such a way to catch every clothing.  Some stuff stacked vertically, perhaps higher than is strictly safe, especially since it contains open containers of glue, disassembled electronics, lots of sharp chisels and such, open boxes of screws... Also there are the diagonal things.  Like the canvas rolls and the wood.  Diagonal things always seem to find the floor, and invite other things along.  There's the barely visible pile of fallen stuff to the left and the clearly visible giant pile of stuff that prevents me from even getting to the chop saw, much less walking safely through the room.  



So now here's the same space.  The table now has the freedom to display some projects that you may or may not see here in the future.

To get certified for this BB, I have posted:
- a photo of the workbench before I got started - you can see the accumulated sawdust on the far side of the workbench
- an after picture that shows significant improvement and several hours of work

I swept the floor twice. Put everything out on the workbench away and used an air compressor to get all the dust off the workbench and used it to clean up around the chop saw and the circular saw.  I'm not sure I've ever gotten the concrete floor clean enough to see the oil stains and paint marks.

I also have a brief video showing the accumulation of sawdust and debris on the floor.  It is over 30MB and I am sorting out how to modify and reduce it.  Let me know if you need it.

I don't have what most people would call a shop. Spider hut is full of mold and... well, spiders; and the garage is just barely big enough for my car and my bikes. So, I use the patio thingy on the south side of the house as my outdoor shop.

I don't have a "shop" other than my garage -- which I am sharing with other people.  Most of the mess comes from one particular person who has hoarding tendencies (not me and dh.)  This is actually several hours of cleaning, even though it might not look like that.  A trip to the recycling center and thrift shop.  Dump is next on the list for things that are beyond use.  I picked up a Wall Control (https://www.wallcontrol.com/) system at the thrift shop cheaply because it was a wee bit dinged.  Love it!  Additional pieces are on my Christmas list.

Earlier this year my partner and I were in Puerto Rico volunteering. This building was one we were working on and using as our 'shop'. One of the folks associated with this property was also using it as his personal junk storage. Utilizing n95 masks and staying super hydrated, it took him and I many days to sort through the random piles of wood and clear this space. I built the wood storage area in the adjoining room to get the wood off the ground and out from under the dripping roof.

Second group is the work-shed I had at my house in Texas. Got it straightened up after my foster dogs went a little nuts one day, and organized my tools in there nicely above my workbench.

Cleaned up this shop that was in pretty horrendous shape. Took about 4 hours.

I spent about 2 hours in my garage workshop cleaning up today.  Looking pretty good now if I do say so myself!

My husband complained that I ran the chop saw inside the shed. So I cleaned it up, and.... kept going until I could see the floor! Haha!
