I believe it now holds a section of junk pole fence! My rock jack mama heart is so proud.

Hey Skip team! This summer, I built a rock jack. I used materials gathered from the shop and also left over materials from other SKIP event participants. Mike and Dez showed me how to make sure the dimensions were all fitting. Then I followed their pattern, and made a rock jack to support this section of fence. I rock! hah. hah.

Here is my rock jack BB submission. It worked out quite well but I would lower the platform by about 4 inches on the next one I make.  This section of hill is quite steep so the rock counterweight ends up higher off the ground than I'd like.

Here is my submission for PEP BB Homesteading (Sand) - Build a Rock Jack:

Minimum requirements:
   - Two nails per joint (no screws)
   - At least 8’ high

I am providing proof of the following as pictures or video:
   - My rock jack supplies
   - Midway through building the rock jack
   - The completed rock jack

The most solid feeling designs of this style I saw at WL had the platform as low to the ground as possible. However, slope and terrain variations influence one's ability to achieve this considerably.

I built a rock jack on a slope which made the effort a fun challenge to stabilize and work on. This is certainly not a 1-man job; I had help moving the logs and holding the logs while I got the nails in. Thanks for the help, Mike, and other skippers!
