First ever attempt to clean my oven with baking soda and water.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
 - manually clean an oven
     - use only water and baking soda

The baking soda/water combination did a great job of dissolving and removing burnt bits. I utilized a scrubber brush and applied water slowly to control how wet the oven was. I found too much ended up sloshing and making a mess. It took quite a bit of rinsing and wiping but the end result is amazing. This oven has been here for at least twenty years without frequent enough cleaning. The main oven compartment was not the challenge in the least, it was the door. I don't know how much crud has accumulated but I scrubbed until the wheels fell off. It is definitely an improvement. I think in the future, I will sub out a scrub brush for something that I can put more elbow grease into.

This was much needed, but not something I want to do very often! I made a baking soda paste by mixing it with water. I spread it on the inside of the oven and let it sit overnight. Wiped clean in the morning! I also soaked the racks in the bathtub in hot water with Molly's Sud's detergent for an hour.
