To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- you must use a cast iron skillet
- you must cook an egg on the skillet, and it must be able to slide around

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must provide:
Youtube link below   - a ten second long video showing the egg sliding around the pan

Egg slide at 1:55

Attachment 1  - pics (or video) of the pan cleanup
Photos of clean up are attached

Note: Good job getting the egg to slide! For long-term care of your cast iron, you shouldn't need to use soap on to clean it, especially if you are using it a lot.

Okay, honesty time, this took me 3 tries before I figured it out.
The first two times I was impatient and as soon as the egg hit the pan I tried to move it around. It made a mess 😆
So, I guess the third time is the charm

Edited to add link to video. It didn’t work the first time.

I fried an egg with a little bit of bacon grease. My first egg does "slide" when pushed but I broke the yolk 😭 (I was going for sunny-side down) so as I was sliding some was leaking out and trying to cook. Still nonstick when cooked, though.

I cooked more, including one that was hard-cooked (the things I do for a pep badge bit!) and you can see that one sliding much better.

Here I am applying for my first badge ever. The egg that slides. I broke the egg when I flipped it, nevertheless, it made it.

Here we go again because I messed up my first submission. This time I read the guidelines. Haha. I just remembered that I bought my first cast iron set like 10 years ago and I got rid of it because everything was sticking. I hated it. I could have searched for a video but, I didn’t. A video could have saved my gut from keep feeding it with teflon… 10 years later, I was watching videos and saw someone doing this and I was, like, uhhhh… duh. 😂 City folks…

So, here I am. Owning it 😂, like a boss 😎 (the video opens on a different window for some reason)

I never take the cast off the stove and jut wipe clean with paper towel. It has been on there since I lit in October 2025. I will flip it over to cook with a pot. I have a large cast crock I use on the other side which I cook most my meals like this.

Here is the you tube link for sliding the egg ( 4 Slidy egg ) for the life of me I cant figure out how to upload it here. Is there somewhere on the Forum that shows how to do this, I cant find that either.
