POST 317 (DAY 327, Friday, 2021.7.2)
[Morning Entry] PTJ Day 5

.... some thoughts from yesterday.. ramblingly..
.... I saw the rain from miles away
Lightning touches and thunder clangs
Heavy drops amidst my brow
Passing north above grey cloud
Brief and dearly reassuring
To stand outside more alluring
Than to sit blankly glaring
toward a story not even my own
Told by another like a digital drone
.... As I remember the learnings from my recent pdc experience. I begin to watch the climate with fresh eyes. Why is this a billowing cloud in the south, miles away? And then an hour later big drops of refreshing rain. A hot three days in triple digits, followed by life giving water to cool my mittens. Just earlier after work, I noticed dried leaf tips on a hugel pea, yellowed by scorching sun. I wondered then, where justice ends, and where grace begins. Saddened to witness such lush plump green turn shades dim crispy.
.... a sit at the solarium foundation, among crumbling rocks. Building dry stack with perfection in mind, but also endeavor. Where the enemy of “good” only offers completion by never. I couldn’t just sit inside staring into an interpreted visual representation (a movie) while such majesty is happening outside. I don’t care if I’ll get wet. Water dries off. So as I sit outside in a gravel pit, I wonder when a moment like this will present itself again.

Days of heat on end really mess me up. I was useless by day 2 of our hot-hot days here. It took me a full day of cooler weather to be able to think half-way straight.

POST 321 (DAY 331, Tuesday, 2021.7.6)
[Morning Entry] PTJ Day 8

.... capacity to give.. at what point is one giving too much?.. and when is it time to give to self?.. if outward expression of caring  and nurturing is reciprocated, in healthy relationships.. whether it’s a relationship with an animal or plant or land or person.. then when the reciprocity seems lacking, is it a signal to give more or less?.. am I putting chips into a pot and playing on tilt?.. or is faith the ultimate hand?.. pondering my state of givingness..
