POST 363 (DAY 373, Tuesday, 2021.8.17)
[Morning Entry]

.... firewood racks needed some help because screws aren’t meant to withstand shear force as much as linear tension.. over time they snap or strip out the wood, from the original design.. the new modification transfers compressive force onto a block of wood, along the grain fibers.. so strength is now near infinity.. let’s see how it holds up.. here’s to another experiment at the lab..!.. I’m calling them the “big feet” modification..

I really like how you use the eaves of the house to keep the wood dry! Saves building a woodshed thats for sure! Great idea :)

POST 364 (DAY 374, Wednesday, 2021.8.18)

.... the longer you spend time with someone, the more their different sides reveal themselves.. similarly the deeper one gets to know themselves, the more their own demons are revealed.. and sometimes, even, the despicable thing that the other person did (!!!), is but a reflected image of our own guilt..

POST 365 (DAY 375, Thursday, 2021.8.19)
[Morning Entry]

.... note to kindness—exercise compassion and generosity.. and the opposite will show up to greet you.. bitterness and spite will contrast with  cold darkness, to the warm light of kindness.. but the darkness shall pass, slinking away with other dark spirits, out of boredom or hunger.. so continue shining a radiant smile, a beacon to other smiles awaiting eagerly to be kind and share in kindness.. with you, dear kind and gentle soul..
.... acknowledging my transgressions in forthcoming apology, knowing that I’m forgiven, and still loved.. not because I deserve mercy, but because I have been shown abundant grace.. my own demons may creep out from time to time.. as I am human just like you..
.... speaking of exercise.. ten pushups per day is really helping me.. it’s bringing back something I gradually lost over the past few months of no push-ups.. my heart and also my body alignment are feeling better after just three days—yay!

Teaching both massage and permaculture gives me an interesting perspective.  The solution is in the problem.  If you do more pulling than pushing on the lab then the pulling agonists will start to overpower the pushing antagonists.  People come to me with a diagnosis of arthritis. If I help them translate the diagnosis that an arthroses is a joint and the itis means it is irritated then the solution is to stop irritating it.  That usually means balancing the muscles.
