The folder here was one of the rougher looking blades in my knife box - the better to be my sharpening example!
Sharpened with rough and honed with fine grit as well as using both to remove some rust and I am quite happy with how my little friend is doing now!
Thanks, Douglas! Frankly, I have no idea, but your suggestion seems sound. It looks pretty handy for debarking and pruning purposes. I probably should have sharpened that too
Yeah I did it! I know how sharpen a knife! I'm glad I did this BB, I've learned how hard it is to do it by hand, but also, glad I learned a new skill, and now I can sharpen a knife with a wet stone . Here's BEFORE & AFTER pictures of my dull knife's performance. I have been using this knife a lot now after I sharpened it. I have a useful knife that I love , yay!

My knife was pretty dull so as bad as I am a sharpening I drug out the old chunk of mill stone. It's not technically a whet stone but it's what I've always used and it's beean used that way over 30 years before I got it.
