"Hey, did you hear? We have new Stewards!"

"Really! Who are they?"

"They're:
Nancy Reading
Carla Burke
John F Dean
Jay Angler

"Can we splash them with our bathwater to welcome them?"

"Nah... let's just ask ALL the permies to congratulate them on their promotion!"

Congratulations, Nancy, Carla, John and Jay! Thank you for helping keep permies the greatest place for everyone to come and play!

We are so glad to have all of you knighted with the shiny title of "Steward"! It is well-deserved by all of you. You have all worked so hard for so many years to keep our permies realm one of growth, resiliency, and safety. You have vanquished many a foul spammer and protected the good and innocent from terrible trolls.

With you Steward/Knighthood, you are now armed with new weapons and armor to fight injustice, aid the good and kind, and smite the dastardly spammers and trolls.

Now we just need to find you some trusty steeds....

I feel that I "should" come forward into the light of truth and tell you all, I'm Non-Compliant.  There I said it and it hurts, a bunch!

I was given this great title several years ago with a visit to the local so-called hospital (4th or 5th heart attack) by the head dumb *ss of the dumb-*ssery dept.  Our first, only and last meeting was somewhat acrimonious or as our cousins from across the pond would say, there was "a frank exchange of views"
I was told later, the sissy-hissy fit he threw was on a real monster scale!!

So, now you know.  Hope you four are ready.  I'm proud to be a grumpy old man.

Peace

Timothy, Thanks for the help.  I can offer the following lame excuses ( pick only one).
(1) it was too early to be posting.
(2) My first cup of coffee hadn't kicked in.
(3) Low sugar, oj hadn't kicked in.
(4) My nine meds hadn't kicked in.
(5) I seriously don't know what I'm doing.

Thanks again, as always

Peace

There are two incredibly important ways members can help us:
1. Write good posts! Nice posts, informative posts, posts that show what worked *and* what didn't work, posts that encourage newbies to try new things, add your own descriptors!
2. Hit the !Report button if you ever see spam or not niceness in the forums. Type a few words in the box that appears - like 'spam'.

To accomplish number 1, we need all of you out there to be building gardens, planting seeds, and encouraging the neighbours to embrace a bit of messiness in an effort to support the land, the insects, the birds, the amphibians, and the mammals (of which us humans qualify). If everyone planted trees and grew things "organic or better" and upcycled and used less, I believe the world would be a better place!

Well how did that happen? One minute you stumble across a really useful website, and then suddenly you're helping with plans for world domination!

I believe that Permies makes the world a better place and I'm proud to be part of it.

I'm a bit late to this party!! Thank you, everyone! I'm honored to be in such amazing company, in both the stewards that have been at it for a while, and those promoted with me! Y'all rock!

Permies is the only site I post on. It's a place I always learn something, have fun and take baby steps to try to be a better person, and it's because of you amazing people who work to keep it on the right track. Thank you very much. Congratulations 🎉
