While staying at the Cooper Cabin for the Garden Master course, I had the opportunity to split some kindling and then run the rocket mass heat for an hour.

Here are my pictures from starting the small RMH in the Love Shack at Wheaton Labs.

Here are all the burnable materials for the RMH. Paper and cardboard are to the right, and the rack in the center and to the left have various lengths of kindling and small, split wood fragments.

I started at just before 5am, Mountain time. This is a photo of the paper lit in the j-tube to start up the rocket.

In this photo, the fire is lit and I add some of the smaller bits of wood with some kindling.

I add more wood into the j-tube for the first time.

I add in a second amount of wood, stuffing the j-tube full again.

I wrapped-up this exercise at about 6:15am, Mountain Time.

I have additional photos to document this, if required (I currently do this at least twice a day now, so I can resubmit at another time if needed). Thanks!

This is the Rocket Mass Heater in the Red Cabin at Wheaton Labs. Worked great once we alleviated the cold plug.

BB 20 event here again.  Staying in the Red Cabin.  It totally has a J Tube Rockey Heater.  I'm from FLorida, It's cold up here in the mountains,  Suppose I should get it started.......

Man. Putting 2 batches of wood in that thing made it UNBEARABLY HOT in the cabin.  Had to open the window.  Pretty Amazed at what s alittle bit of wood can do when properly applied.....
