Here’s my fried egg and cleaning the cast iron.
I used bacon grease to fry the egg and a paper towel to wipe down the skillet.

This is my first video upload, so here it goes!  I had more trouble with making a little video than cooking the egg!

Part 1 of the video shows the pan being heated, the beautiful green egg being cracked in the pan and then fried.


Then, I realized I didn't have my garlic out so I had to stop video. I like to crush a garlic on my fried egg.  When I restarted, all I had was still shots (NOT) showing how the egg slid around in the pan!  So I cooked another egg. It was ok since I was hungry.  So here's part 2 of egg fry -- showing it sliding around.

Then clean up!  My pan didn't look like it needed to be reseasoned, so I stopped after it was dry.  I probably only do the resealing every 4 or 5 times I use the pan because the "non-stick" really seems strong.

Fried eggs this morning and videoed the progress. I ended up frying a few more which led to some crumblies in the pan so I had to use the hot water method of cleaning. Still very simple. I greased it with coconut oil afterward to get it ready for the next meal.

I can't seem to get the imbed to work so here's the link for now: Egg Frying Video

Today’s breakfast was really breaking my fast - this meal marks the end of a 2 day fast, trying to reset my gut.

Hey PEP-Folks,
Here is an egg sliding in my medium Le Creuset cast iron, which has been a wonderful pan for a decade plus (and my wife found it used). It is pretty well seasoned, as you can tell from the bit-too-hot condition not affecting egg slippage (it was the last fry of the morning's breakfast). Cleanup is water and steel wool.

There wasn't really anything to clean up after but if there's anything still in the pan I'll usually scrape it with the spatula and maybe wipe it with a paper towel.

This is my egg frying BB. I used a cast iron skillet, and my favorite, avocado oil. I cracked the egg in the pan and let it cook. You can see pictures of the prep, video of the egg sliding, and then the clean pan after it was wiped out with a clean paper towel to leave an oil sheen on the clean pan.
