Great respect from the staff, thanks.
And I like that my post was thought to be valuable enough to move gir bot...
So, instead of being sure of something, now I say that I have changed my mind about a topic, much nicer to read!

That made me laugh out loud!!! Thanks for the feedback regarding my post gir bot! I will take some time to review protocol for discussion boards. Forgive me if I was out of bounds with the subject matter. If it is historically a sensitive subject I am fine with removing it. I am a newby to the community and I will edit my post if I can navigate back to it.

P.S. I think you're Great gir bot!

From my experience with Gir so far, he'd probably just say

Why thankyou.  I like tacos.

I just wanted to thank Gir Bot for another charming email this morning.
A personal robot email is a lot more fun than the more common robot-pretending-to-be-human noreply message.

It is nice to meet a 'bot who is so confident and open about his identity.

I am hereby sending Gir Bot a virtual taco with extra cheese.

Love,
Erica

Thank you for making me aware I could say sommething in a nicer way. It's known Dutch people (I am Dutch) often are 'too direct' in their replies. I do not mean to offend anyone, so this is a good way to get some practice in the use of nicer words / sentences.

added later: I do not have any tacos, but I did have some pie ... so I gave that piece of pie to this thread, as a gift to Gir Bot

Thanks Gir bot for not just blowing up the post.  Pretty new to the site and web stuff is not my thing.  Posting pictures is harder than I thought.

But with Gir's strong but gentle guidance, I was able to post the images in the post using imgur, obviously a system invented by Gir and going by the code name of IMGUR, get it?

Seriously, thanks guys.

Gir Bot now officially likes tacos, and you can too! Well, it's technically "cooking," but what's better to cook than tacos? :D

haha...I finally got a message from gir bot

Because I quoted someone's post who had only posted a link so was thought to be spam.

It was not.  It was a link to Richter's, one of the best seed companies around.... https://www.richters.com/Web_store/web_store.cgi?product=X8051-200&show=&prodclass=Herb_and_Vegetable_Seeds&cart_id=111.100

The link added important information to the thread.

Looks like the post you quoted got caught in a spam filter or something.

Can you change your post to include the link but do so in a way that isn't a quote?  Maybe talk about how great their seeds (and plants and trees especially mulberry - mine grew six feet this year in STUN situation...okay. Maybe not the bit about the trees) are?

I got a visit from the gir bot myself this week!

Where I live, Gir is a breed of cattle. I hope Gir Bot doesn`t mind that in my mind's eye he looks somewhat like this....

The problem might have bee that the way the link was posted LOOKED spammy, so it got put on probation. And, we usually try not to have non-visible posts quoted because it looks confusing. Like Raven said, try editing your post so it doesn't have the quote and just talks about the link. THat way it can be made visible, and when the person you quoted fixes their post, we can make theirs visible, too.

I"ll wait until the other post is fixed then so I don't usurp that information.
I was just pasting the relevant quote from S's link....didn't really have anything new to add.

thanks

Thanks so much for the heads up! I'm new here and not yet familiar with the parameters of propriety. If I'm ever out of line please don't hesitate to let me know or to simply delete my posts. You won't hurt my feelings.

He does seem to like tacos. And there seems to be a glitch in our system that has allowed him to gain control. It may take us a day to wrestle control back from him. Hopefully by April 2nd everything should be back to normal...
