This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Homesteading. (Note that this BB is part of a three-part choose your own adventure list BB called Big List. You must complete three Badge Bits in the Big List.)

In this Badge Bit, you will Install proper fire starting, fire maintenance, and ash handling tools at a fire-burning contraption.

Install each item below, and ensure each item is labeled that it goes with this location

  Poker
  Tongs
  Scoop
  A proper place to hold the poker, tongs and scoop
  Metal Ash Bucket
  Storage for a little bit of firewood
  Storage for firestarter
  A lighter or a propane torch with a starting trigger
  (optional) a single welding glove
  A fire extinguisher

What do you mean labels? Like i need to edit the picture to say "this is a scoop"? Or i have to physically write on the items "stove"?

Looks like the hang-up is with the middle bullet point (bold by me).  So I'm guessing a little label for each thing so that people put them back in the right place.  I think either a label saying where the poker goes would work, or a label on the poker that says it goes with the fireplace in the shop, not in the house or the garage.

Our cabin has a wood stove, so it needed some tools so it can be used. I was able to find a set of fireplace tools at a garage sale, and sourced the rest elsewhere.

I was so happy to find most of the tools at the habitat for humanity restore. It's about time I got this set up properly!

I love that Rocket Mass Heaters are Carbon-Nuetral. In Erica's and Ernies Art of Fire Presentation, Erica explains the chemistry of how that's possible!
I attended Helen's Garden Master Course in January 2022 and give the lectures 10/10 acorns! Fortunately for you, you can also see the Garden Master recordings but unfortunately you'll miss out on the fruit Helen grew and shared. It was the tastiest fruit I've ever had!
