Welcome Susan, Michelle, Ulla and Jim!!! I'm so glad to have you helping out here on permies, that I've got a bouquet for you to carry up that red carpet Pearl rolled out for you!

That should attract a few pollinators to follow in your footsteps.

This is probably not the right place to say this but it's what came to mind reading the thread. I really wish there was more gardening discussions happening on the forums ) :

What sorts of topics? What sort of focus? What do you want to learn about? Do you have a garden yourself? You are the solution, George! What thread would you like to start?

As Jay said you are the solution. Also, gardening is what I mostly write about here on permies. Just get a thread started with a topic or just a story about the things about gardening you are passionate about. Once you do that, you will connect with like minded souls (like me) 😉

George, if you look to the left side of your screen, there's a long stack of buttons. Each of them is a different forum, and the second one is 'growies' (we have a unique and fun method of naming things, here). If you click on that button, it will lead you to both the place to post the threads Jay & Ulla suggested you start, and to all kinds of threads others have already begun. It's a veritable treasure trove of information and questions about anything to do with growing... well... pretty much anything. I'm looking forward to seeing your posts & threads!
