According to kicktraq, the day one (which was actually only 8 hours by the way they track) total was $21,694.  Pretty darn good.

But my guess is, that with 579 backers at the moment, this is likely going to be our highest participation kickstarter to date.

Beau, maybe we should check our pockets for stuff about stretch goals.  I think by noon today we need to have made some stretchy decisions.

Hi Samantha,
Thanks! I just thought 'what would I want?!’ hehe
And many others might be interested in these, because with spring knocking at the door on the northern hemisphere, i see baby goat being born (thus much milk thus much whey!), it's bug time (aphids are on my garlic already), and chickens, well, they are relevant whatever the season!

Congrats on another great Kickstarter!! I'm glad for the moment I'm in with the earlybirds! I have my confirmation from Kickstarter and everything. I'm just hoping I don't have a problem later like last time... My EU credit card tends to reject things that don't go through the "3D Strong Customer Authentication" gateway, which normally opens when I hit "pay" on websites here, but on Kickstarter it failed to do so once again, and I'm worried I'll be getting a "payment failed" message soon.

Any Euro-permies here that are experienced tricking out Kickstarter to cooperate and open up the verification gateway? I'm on a Mac and use Safari and Firefox. Thanks if any tips.

BTW for stretch goals, I'm interested in footage of any courses at Wheaton Labs or elsewhere, especially of the Low-tech variety.

I'm an euro-permie too and have been in the early birds backers too. This is the first time I support a kickstarter and hope everything will go smoothly. I'm really looking forward to the movie and all the others rewards for the early birds.

That is a great idea to get in now and bump up to a higher pledge later!

Thanks for the suggestion Roy! I am not a fan of PayPal for reasons and don't have an account, but if push comes to shove and I get the dreaded message that the payment didn't go through, I will look into it, they at least used to make one-off payments possible with no account. I really appreciate your help!

I understand your hesitation.  I really despise Pp myself for their shady practices.  But in the end, they do work.  I just dont keep any money with them.  I have linked my credit card to use so Pp just works like a pass through.  Unfortunately I have to pay a few percent fee for using the card, which I'll gladly pay to avoid keeping money in Pp or linking to my bank account.

Hi Christopher!

That is for real!

Everyone who backs the kickstarter for $100 or more will get the Greenwood Apprenticeship Course if we reach the stretch goal!

Here is a link to the thread for the course in the Digital Market.

https://permies.com/t/211622/Greenwood-Apprenticeship-Mortise-Tenon-Magazine#1775039

There is a little snippet of the course to whet your appetite.   Just watching that, I really want to get my hands on some green wood and nice hand tools.

I got my pledge in.
so excited to see the rest of the course!

I havent been on here in quite a while.   We finally found our forever home as covid was starting up and have been plenty busy ever since.  i got a youtube notification about the kickstarted promo vid and actually had a sec to click on it.  glad i did.  got in on the early birds and looking forward to the movie and all the extra goodies.  will probably bump up my pledge for the stretch goals.   the last one we got in on was building a better world.  even got to come up and meet paul and everyone to help pack up books for shipping.  we really enjoyed that.  Just want to say yall do an amazing job with these things.
