Merry Christmas! may we all find that peace so many this year have had stripped away by actions of war and terrorism, let us keep these innocent people in our prayers to the creator.
may we all continue to help heal our mother the earth so that she might remain able to nourish all who live with her.
We are all one people and we should do what we can for another we see that is in need.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Today has been a very pleasant day. The joy of knowing the reason for celebrating this day, His Birthday. The warmth of the fire with which we heat our home. The pleasures of time spent with family enjoying the day. Knowing the farm animals are well cared for and fed. And the gardens covered with their winter's mulch, becoming new soil by Spring. It's a very pleasant day. But perhaps best of all was getting up early this morning to journey into town to give sandwiches and snacks and gifts and gloves or socks and our time and caring, to those living such a very different life than we do. Merry Christmas. And a most joyful and productive New Year.

Merry Christmas to all! We're expecting rain to wash away all our snow, but that will please our ducks, geese and chickens. Watching them enjoying themselves out in the air and grass reminds me of the circle of life and how privileged I am to live on the land. Take care and count your blessings!

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm grateful for many things, amongst them this community of folks looking out for their fellow beings and the earth. Stumbled across this poem and song (from 16:33-20:04ish in the video) and thought it a great Permie Christmas blessing.

Have a peaceful holiday!
Anyone else made jam today to try and make room in the freezer by removing fruit? My husband took out 7kg (!) of blackcurrants, so I've made a batch of spiced jam and mashed the rest into pulp to ferment to make a cordial after the holiday. It wasn't quite what I had planned, but I can make mincepies on Tuesday just as well!

A Merry Christmas and a Lovely New Year! I think myself fortunate to know this community.

Part of my Christmas ritual, and my favourite Christmas movie by far (and yes I also have it on VHS) is this fine adaptation of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" in proper black and white and with delightfully over the top theatrical performances from genuine stage actors! Highly recommended.

Ever since I found this suit I've felt strange new needs. And a tiny ad:
